I think Taylor is cooked. If Hendo goes around again he'll spend most of his time in the twos in my view.

They're both cooked.

I was addressing a concern about the loss of 'leadership'....... As I clearly stated, it'd be for a limited number of games only, and for mine, Taylor has been a far superior player, so I'd rather carry him to teach our youngsters than Hendo.

I’d retire both. Harry will go on his own accord. Henderson may need a slight push. The game has gone past both now though.

If we can't win in the next couple of years, why would we keep J Selwood, Ablett, Taylor, Henderson or Touhy.

Ablett, Taylor, scooter and Hendo are in the waiting room awaiting passage. Selwood and 2e are still playing well enough.

cool, we are on the same page, i just think we need to apply some pressure on recruiting as its our recruits that have failed us not our coaching, yet everyone sees the reverse
our early picks have been wasted

Sure. Maybe a combo or responsibility. Troy Selwood taking recruitment or talent id over tells me that they realised something was wrong.

I'd have Selwood on reduced games, and would stamp 2e's papers. Not good enough now for mine

Taylor played a lot of full back for the team that finished top of the ladder & made a prelim, to say the game has gone past him or he is “cooked” is pretty disrespectful imo,

I’d like to see him go out before the major drop off comes of course but it hasn’t hit yet so I understand if he’s mulling over another year, the club does probably need to move on from him now though I will admit.

I think we should have a good hard look at Zac Williams from GWS as a FA in 2020.

Sure he is a defender, but is a very good user and can be played in the midfield.

Perfect age profile.

I think he’d take unders to stay there but we should definitely be asking the question.

I’d like for us to go after Jack Ross from the tigers.

Taylor had an excellent season and will be top 10 in the Carji.

That said, if he has had enough that’s understandable and we are well positioned to deal with it if he makes that call.

I would be trying to get an immediate starter and impact player with a mature age pick.
You don't pick em to play VFL so in effect you're picking a player who's hopefully a potential game changer to the line up.

Sokol is the best fwd in WA atm although a medium at 23yr, 84 games, 186cm/86kg, he won the WAFL goalkicking for 2019.
Elite endurance and outstanding in the air he's dynamic off the ground and also physically a very tough body.
He's kicked 153 goals over the last 3 seasons with 60 this year (av 8.6marks) and was BOG in Subiaco's back to back flag win with an outstanding 6 goals.
Can play high fwd/midfield as he's an extremely aerobic runner with a big tank.
Would love Wells to take this guy to improve our goalkicking potential for season 2020.
2nd/3rd rd pick with his CV, like Kelly, Pickett but think Jordan DeGoey.

Question is does he have a wife and kids who are going to want to come back to Perth in a years time.... If so get stuffed!!!

Don't know much about Ross, it says in his description that he's explosive, but from the bried highlights I saw he looks more like an Inside Midfielder. Probably not much different than a Menegola. The question is he much better than say a Constable or Menegola.

I didn't mean to imply any disrespect..... To me he has been an amazing player, who brought intellect and skill to his game.

But you do admit that we need to move on from him........ So, in a way, you agree our game is leaving him behind, yes?

Yeah well!!.....hope it's only a wife or girlfriend, ...it's more than just footy that's for sure.
Guess the club would want to put that question to any interstate player.

I dont think keeping Henderson for another year would be the worst decision (as long as its in the VFL).

But having both go will let us see how Blicavs/Kolo and Henry all cope, especially if there are injuries.

I feel our backline is the most mollycoddled in the competition.

He’s more inside but has outside to his game a very good runner on top of his inside skills, he could play a negative role at stoppages but still find a ton of ball, Constable I think will always be a ball hunter like a Josh Kennedy or Cripps (if he puts the weight on)& we don’t play Menegola in the guts.

In the sense that he can only play for so long, I think ability wise he’s still fine but we need to start think of the next few years.

So Kelly out and Steven in.

Do we expect any other trades or shake up.
Seems a bit light for yet another failed campaign. The Richmond demolition yesterday may lull some into thinking we are a close 2nd. Maybe we are and very little needs be done except some luck. I feel with the above as our only moves, tougher draw, we’d have gone backwards. This year we needed another 1-2 strong mids without losing Kelly.
