You are an optimistic man.
3 games x 2 season ending key injuries and a Sauce bottle that is nearly empty.
I wish I had your hope.
Seeds hasn't done his ACL.

I'm not optimistic, I'm realistic. Never said we would do any damage when we got there but we don't have to improve much to beat most sides.

Yeah I just seen that good news on Seed.:thumbsu: ...we look like Frankenstein and play like Dr Jekyll still.

Was weird at work today...

I work with a fair few expat south aussies and Victorians and there is a great spread of supporters of many AFL clubs..

The overall impression of the game that I got from most of them was that it was an exciting game of footy to watch... that both teams played an exciting brand of footy.

Most thought Adelaide should have won the game but poor kicking in front of goal, some dubious umpiring and some poor decision making from a few of Adelaides players was the difference..

Maybe being crows supporters we expected a hell of a lot better?.. I didn’t think I was being too harsh on the team.. I thought they were atrocious.. got plenty of the ball but disposals and decision making was D grade.

Positive news on Seedsman I guess.. hopefully he doesn’t spend months on the sidelines still.

Still think Mackay, Atkins, Kelly and hartigan deserve to be dropped.
Watching it last night it didn't look like an Acl. Looked like an overextension to me which can still be bad.

Heads wont roll...we are running out of heads.
I went to the game last night and our kicking was atrocious! Laird missed a team mate by 30 meters in the last quarter and hung his head in shame...that's when I got up and walked out.
We will not play finals.
What are they doing in preseason? Meditating how to kick?

Quite bad bone bruising and some joint damage. Could be anything

hahaha...probably.
One of the problems I saw last night is a Crow seeing a player between layers of opponents and attempting the impossible kick.
Why we dont lead up more astounds me.
And when we do lead up we kick over their heads.

Our skill levels are deplorable.

Yea, good news on the not ACL... but the description of the damage isn't positive at the moment; could still be a very long recovery period.
Going by personal experience I would say 10 weeks. But he probably has better rehab programs than I did

Yeah sure.

FFS. You and your mates are the types of supporters that expect a premiership every year and if that's not achieved, sack em all.... every last one of em. You overreact constantly. It's hilarious reading game day threads. The melts... are simply embarrassing to read - can't imagine what it must have been like to write! What's worse, you make stuff up! After all these years, Sumich would have been made offers from any numbers of clubs but each time he chose to stay in Perth. You do the math.

For the record, I support my Club. Through good AND bad. I don't like the bad times - just like you, but the difference is I don't carry on like a pork chop. Contrary to your belief pretty much nothing I do will change anything, no matter how loud I squeal about it on social media. Sure I could drop the Gold Membership - but someone else would snap it up. So that only hurts me. I don't live in Adelaide so I'm already not going to the games... so that has no effect. When I'm pissed off at something that's happened... I shoot off an email. I know it won't actually "DO" anything, but at least I've done something about it. I don't sit in here bleating about it aimlessly across every ******* thread. Yep, there are problems. I would hope the Coach and his team can work their way through it. And if they don't? Well, it'll be time for him and others to go. It's how sporting teams work. In the meantime, I enjoy the footy when I can - I've had lots to be happy about with my girls winning their second premiership - turn it off when I'm not enjoying it, and enjoy a bit of banter with like minded people in here. Some of you take it entirely too seriously. It is not life and death. It's a game of ******* football.

Great post wish I had written would dedicate it to my fairweather supporter wife who I suffer through each match as I can not escape her I too live in Brisbane

He did get off the cart and walk (with a limp) down into the rooms and his knee was bending when he did that.. you’d have to think if it was all broken and smashed up inside the joint bending it wouldn’t have been possible and walking/limping would’ve been excruciating... so maybe just badly bruised.

thoughts/experiences from anyone that’s done this type of injury before might help us understand more?..

I see lots of people having a go at Pyke.

Whats he meant to do go out there and tell them to kick straight?
The cattle aren't executing. Plan A,B,C won't work if you can't kick straight.
They are turning to water and not executing a plan let alone simple footy skills.

Only way to improve this is drop players send a message.
Warn players give them a chance to redeem themselves. goto the 2's after that.

IT IS only round 3 this may be happening.

In Mongrel - Fog, Hugh
Out flat tracks - JJ, atkins/mackay

As I mentioned earlier, I did this at 17 in what was ironically my last year of footy.

I missed 2 months but I'm a pretty good healer, but had next to no rehab. Was in pretty horrid discomfort for a week or so, couldn't jog for 3

It's all intertwined though.

Structures and systems aren't working - puts player under pressure, failure to execute skills as a result.

Not excusing the players, but to come out of such a highly praised pre-season, and look so bad across the field; I see that as a coaching failure.

Fair enough.
I blame the players not executing

Obviously it's structures but the game I watched was ignoring good leads and bombing on forwards heads.

Saw that as well mate, and it's definitely a factor; which is why I don't excuse the players, but I think it's a sign of confusion and uncertainty.

When we're good (and when any team in the comp is up and running), they play with purpose and certainty; they know they're supposed to do, and they do it... and if it doesn't work, they know it will next time, so they reload and relaunch.

We look hesitant, confused, uncertain and completely lacking in confidence and purpose.

Yeah I see where you're coming from and you may be right.
I just think players need a hiding and that is the coaches job. People don't need a mate they need someone to give them a rocket too.

It's really hard to judge without being privy. It's most likely a combination. Players need accountability.

Turn it round dickheads.
Blood hell

In truth, we all should have known the instant Tim Watson declared us a top 4 certainty

Every year?

What about once in twenty years?

Or once in a decade?

I don't normally have a crack at you Jenny, but that entire post is garbage.
Why is it garbage? ONLY ONE team wins it every year. There are 18 teams in the competition. Sometimes teams have a mini dynasty and win more than one. Our last one was 20 years ago, and we’ve not been without a chance over those years. I remember some years ago people were complaining we hadn’t even MADE a grand final. Well we made one... and they are STILL complaining. The good the bad and the ugly... that’s a footy season right there. There’s good, bad and ugly in EVERY season. 2018 - as bad as it was, we still won 12 games. 12! Right now we’re in a whole heap of ugly. Like you, I hope it improves and bloody quickly!

We just pissed away a premiership window. Completely pissed it away. What's worse is their refusal to admit their mistakes and that things aren't working.

People are gonna melt, particularly when no changes are made and those within the club aren't held accountable (ie Burton).

We are startlingly similar to Freo after their GF loss.
