Players I would crucify ahead of Rachele for the loss

McHenry - another game of doing practically nothing right
Sholl - is the worst tackler that's ever played for the club
Smith - couldn't move. No impact on the game at any point
Laird - no positive impact at all
Fogarty - missed an absolute sitter from dead in front
Gollant - negative impact on the game
Cook - exposed
O'Brien - incapable of taking a mark
Nankervis - dirty night
Jones - turnover merchant

There are probably a dozen worse than him tonight, even if he had a bad last quarter.

I'd take him over Laird or Smith any day of the week.
His game was better than Smith's, Laird, McHenry's, cook's, ROB'S and a few others. But you can't pull out when the ball is there.

Agree.

But Rachele has more talent than all of them.

Soligo had another great game and Dawson found some form but there's too many players who just don't have what it takes. Im sick of seeing simple skill errors, kicks missing their targets by 10m+ and truly pathetic defensive efforts. We don't have enough good players to be carrying the dumb ones that we have.

Umpire robbery?? lol please.

Do people not understand facts. Essendon smashed us and had shots on goal at will. The umpires got us back into the game. Yet again people are conned by the wallpaper. We had no right to be even as close to this result. This should have been a 5 goal loss every day off the week. The score line flatters us.

The bombers absolutely smashed our game plan but just couldn't kick away through bad kicking for goal. At this rate, there will be a game we lose by 70 points. I'm calling it. We can't play park kick and catch football from defence under such immense pressure like the bombers put us under. As the season goes on, teams will almost certainly flood the forward 50 to pressure us into turnovers in our attempt to counter attack.

I love how the happy clappers want to jump on an umpiring call as the blame for our results. Our game plan, lack of execution, lack of skills, our over reliance on guys like Tex and Dawson demonstrate we are so far off the pace that after 5 years, its inexcusable to have a coach who has put us in this position.

Just the insane selfishness of Smith to put his hand up to play tonight, and the absolutely pissweak coaching panel that let him - forget about the gameplan being a disaster, that in itself speaks to massive cultural problems in the AFC, and the results reinforce that.

-8 scoring shots
-19 inside 50s

Final margin flattered us. Deserved it on the back of contiuous unaccountable selections and game plan going nowhere.

1-5 and 0-3 at home. This club deserves all the shit it cops on and off the field.

Good:

Soligo. FMD his ability to get the ball off the ground

Rachele: Other than those two howlers

Dawson: slow start but was the key to getting us back

Rankine: very slow start but he works hard all match and always looks like he would do anything to win

Anything else??

Agree.

He's showed it enough times he needs to be backed in.

It's not Rachele's fault the entire game rested on his shoulders in those moments due to Nicks shit coaching

If he stuffed those in the first quarter, no one cares.

I'm much more concerned about players that spent the entire match doing nothing at all and were nowhere to be seen when the game was to be won

Soligo sensational young kid.

Michalanney and Worrell - building good careers for themselves. Both really composed and skillful.

Keane - still loving this guy. massive heart.

Dawson - great captains game.

The Bad - where do you start.

Rachelle - went jelly leg twice in the last 10 minutes with the game on the line. You have been found out mate. the football world saw it. trade bait

Nicks - Sholl as the impact sub (lol) and Gollant in the ruck. garbage coach

Cook - soft. sanfl standard

Laird - the momentum killer. A good club would recognize his obvious flaws and move him on.

McHenry and Jones - shit.

Tackling - have we ever won the tackle count in the last 6 to 7 years. soft underbelly.

O'Brien - don't think i've ever seen a ruckman drop as many marks

Fogarty - poor delivery, slippery ground, global warming. Excuses as to why he has minimal impact. Will never be the player we had hope he would be.
