Thought Seed might have cracked a vote or mention in the bests.

Not really. Aside from some sensational finals performances CC was still in the massive upside yet to be realised stage when he left.

CC was a defensive force for us and was a pretty key part of our forward line. Gooch/Murphy still have a long way to go to match him, but both have showed some very good signs.

This is how many games Charlie Cameron had with 20+ disposals, 2+ goals, 3+ inside 50s, 350+ meters gained and 8+ score involvements in his Crows career:

Has been very good for Bris this year, has torn apart a prelim final, while Gooch has played how many games? And how many of those were as good as what CC has played. Way too early to claim that. Same with Doedee over Lever. Sure we are happy with his poor form at Melb, but Jake played well for a number of seasons, and while I hate him I still understand he plays ok.
You cant claim that Jake played well with us because he had two key backs in Talia and Hatigan which allowed him to zone off and mop up and look really good, but then ignore that same point when saying how well Doedee plays the same role.

On Gallucci, watching the Port SANFL game earlier in the season, he had an absolute nightmare of a game and looked miles off AFL level. At the same time you could see how much of a struggle it was being basically the most senior guy in the midfield with some very average team mates going up against quite a few good SANFL players. Port seemed to target him as well and he really got smashed quite a few times but kept cracking in.

It's really quite strange seeing that then and now seeing him get 20 and 2 goals in the AFL a few weeks later. Says a lot about what it's like for those guys at the moment. Milera always found it tough going as well.

I think Edwards is doing quite well considering this. Would be really hard for the young fellas in the reserves.

I did post this after that game:

Id still pick the Gooch if Sloane didn'td get up.

I got a feeling he likes the bright lights and will not disappoint.

You are comparing a small forward to numbers that a gun midfielder would be proud of. You may as well compare oranges to a bus as your statement is that irrelevant.

Gallucci was playing a similar role to Cameron tonight. They are comparable.

Got an absolute ride from the umpires.

They should be ashamed of themselves.

These are the pathetic type of gutless wonders we then cop in Victoria who are scared of the crowd booing them and shaft us.

It's not that hard.

Umpires who lack the courage to actually be an umpire and make decisions based upon what they see need to be weeded out.

Yeah, I was wondering all night who the hell was that #14 umpire was? Unlike Shaun heckin'g Ryan, he was genuinely unbiased and seemed to pick out accurate free kicks while in the middle and seemed to do the same job as three umpires in one. That's a scandal and must be addressed immediately! (sarcasm)

UMPIRES
Ryan, Gavine, Gianfagna.

Umpires who took the field tonight were (primadonna ****witt) Ryan #25, Gavine #14, and according to the AFL Ben Ryan #27 (I was referring to him as Avon all night as that used to be his number... whoops)

Not sure who the heck Gianfagna is, but unless he took over the #27 he wasn't there...

Overall I was really impressed by Gavine, jeez, he had sharp eyes and could umpire the whole game without the other two... Ryan is, well Ryan, and #27 (whoever that was) was largely invisible. Overall a pretty decent result for us.

Bicks was correct, umpires were #14 Hayden Gavine, #25 Shaun Ryan and #27 Andre Gianfagna

I'd be very happy to be corrected, as I was just quoting what's up on the AFL website (which would obviously be wrong, probably not the first and last times).

I would also be very happy to have #14 and #27 umpire the rest of our games this year as they seem to be genuinely unbiased...

On the other hand #25 has form and can GAGF.

Was at the game, up high-in-the-sky. Kinda hard to makeout who players are at time. A few notes:
-Doedee is an absolute gun. His handballing is sublime. Like a lot of what you would see from his draft tapes, he sort of side-steps/turns around his opponent/raises his body before he disposes to a free player. He is smart, knows where to be, and who to dispose to.
-Milera was everywhere. Is really backing himself in, covered a lot of ground in offense. Looked like Wells.
-Poholke looks raw but there is something there. Reckon he is still a year off properly-contributing - a bit like Galluuci last year.
-Seedsman - Brodie Smith's lost twin
-Matt Crouch had very low TOG, believe he was on the bench for large chunks of the 2nd half.
-Tex - Was very noticeable he was gone. Looked like we were missing a genuine CHF.
-Brown: Was great. Very solid game, even if he is put in some tough-spots.
-Gallucci: His workrate was noticeable - was two times where he had a touch around the centre then sprinted forward to make himself an offensive option.
-Mackay - was actually good. Think he took more contested marks than GC's Tom Lynch tonight.

Pretty average viewing for the most part, not a lot of atmosphere, crowd was verbally dissappointed at the small 44.5k crowd, should have been more in these conditions. GC killed us on the spread in the 2nd half, still a lot we can improve on. I would swap Sloane out for Poholke this week. Tex will probably be out, I reckon for team balance it would be better to bring in a small in Betts or Murphy - depending on if they are fit. Teams are still streaming-out of our forward-50 (as much as I want to bring the fog in; to tall).

Another two hamstring injuries in one game is not good, and Ben Hart had to get up and defend the fitness program at the post game function.

Chore of a game to watch.
Mate do you even Crows?
You are such a downer all the time.

Loved Gallucci's game. That performance is the exact kind of skill and pace I saw glimpses off at SANFL level last year hence why I was a tad concerned earlier this year when he seemed to be struggling but he's all that zip back in his game now. Some players just go up a gear at the next level and the hard running AFL game probably suits him better than the SANFL.

Milera was great - other than a bad patch in the third quarter - but I'll forgive that given the goals he set up the other way with his run and drive and his defensive efforts at times also helped stop a couple too. The one or two turnovers were mainly from trying to do too much so he was at least trying to create. Showed great awareness to dish off then run further into space to become an option too.

Gibbs - still super classy:hearts::hearts::hearts:

Greenwood - my man-crush continues - what a beast:hearteyes::hearteyes::hearteyes:

M.Crouch

Lynch

Bad/ugly: another soft tissue injury, with Tex the victim this time. Hass needs to clean out his locker - at this rate, the pre-season he was in charge of will cost us top 4 if the injuries continue to pile up like this.
People are so overrating Greenwood, I don't understand why? He's 26 , shanks alot of his disposal and is not the quickest guy going around. Are people that blindsided by a couple of good tackles he does a week or are the people on here his family members? Yet they get into CEY who was excellent again especially in close
