No real offence but have you ever played football or even a team game?

In no way was he terrible every time he was in the contest he made it at least 50/50 or had possession and gave us an advantage.
I tend to expect a bit more from a forward than "No goals and no assists. But his direct opponent decisively stopped Adelaide's attacks slightly less than usual."

Was Himmelberg terrible??
Himmelberg was quite bad. But still better than Fogarty's game tonight, and probably a good 40% of Fogarty's career.

6 goals is usually not an honourable loss but against a good team like Brisbane thought it was that tonight. The lead up play always looks better if it finishes with a goal rather than a point so we probably were better than we looked. If those posters had been goals it’s a very different look to the game.

Brown is cooked, Rachelle is tiring and Himmelburg tried hard but was still ordinary, which is more of a problem than if he wasn’t trying. Hately is the new Crouch it seems.
Hopefully the 2017 version of Crouch.

No Himmelberg was much, much worse than Fogarty. Completely uncompetitive. Soft. Inept. Poor positioning. Poor decisions. It was a master-class in how not to he a key forward.

Berg, Sholl and Rachele have all had a fair string of games for players who've never had long strings before. All 3 def look like they could do with a freshen up. Seems to have worked with a lot of other players so far.

The thing is... fog played on andrews who is a decent defender. We could drop him but the yo yo in and out shut doesn't help us long term. Give him 4 weeks and then put him in the 2s if he isn't up to it still which he prob won't be. Bigger issue for me is himmelberg who got the 3rd best defender and takes 3 marks...
But that's the point.
He's had 4-week stints, several of them.

Himmelberg. One really good game, vs PA. If he never played for the Crows again, I would not miss him.

Fogarty is a midfielder playing in a forwards body.

When given time and space he is excellent with the ball. Maybe, he could be dropped and and given a fitness program that could eventually put him around the midfield and he is placed as a big bodied mid in the Sanfl. He is an excellent user of the ball and a very skillful player. I just dont think he is a genuine big bodied forward.
Agree there, his disposals particularly in the 2nd quarter when we were on top were excellent. We tried him in the midfield a few years ago when he clearly didn't have the fitness level but he now seems to be getting to more contest so fitness has improved.

No way, Himmelberg was completely ineffective on their 3rd defender and hopeless in Ruck. You would start with TT as deep forward with McAdam and McHenry the Walker, FOG and Rachelle/Newchurch with Rowe work through. Both Rachelle and Rowe showed impacted the game more than McHenry

9 goals to 2 in the second half is all you need to know. Kicking it on forwards heads doesn't work, but forwards who can't kick goals don't help either. Some interesting umpiring again tonight but beaten by a much better team. Good first half but stinky in the second.
I wrote on FB that Brown is past it and tonight it showed.

Its all about fitness. He is getting there. It would be a waste to see him sent back to the Sanfl again and played out of the square. He did some good things one on one at AFL level when around the middle of the ground.

Luke Brown. I think we've seen enough. Time for a spell.

Hately, Doedee, Dawson good.

Strachan was beaten but still showed more effort than ROB.
