Good post overall, but CAN drop Fogarty. He's been given several groups of "a few weeks".
We've seen what he can do. Not much.
The thing is... fog played on andrews who is a decent defender. We could drop him but the yo yo in and out shut doesn't help us long term. Give him 4 weeks and then put him in the 2s if he isn't up to it still which he prob won't be. Bigger issue for me is himmelberg who got the 3rd best defender and takes 3 marks...

Ugly.

The AFL is in crisis and they don’t ******* recognise it.

The umpiring continues to be a blight on the game.

******* amateurs.
The game is in a mess but current generations don't see it and the media are not allowed to discuss it properly them being part of the vfl/afl virus. The ball winner gets little chance and opponents can play rugby pile on, the STAND thing is embarrasing and the Dissent rule is true MADNESS(Dictators have this rule). SANFL last kick rule the only good one apaprt from 666 since I can remember.

This was the turning point. Holding the man free lol

no it wasnt..

it was a minute before that when Keays recieved a kick from Dawson in the D50..

and proceeded, under no pressure whatsoever, to **** up his basic 20m pass to Soligo.. which resulted in a turnover and goal to the lions.

Crows had all the momentum till that point and the lions hadnt kicked a goal for the entire qtr.

Keays handed the momentum over to the lions on a silver platter.

youre little snippet came next.

lol, he was soooo not. The mistake is doing the same thing and expecting different results. he was smashed in the middle. Every opponent he had beat him.
Lol, you seriously couldn't have watched the game... or been sober.

Laird with 32 touches at 71%, 10 score involvements (should be at least one goal assist from an elite centre clearance that hit Tex lace out), 10 tackles, 8 clearances and 4 inside 50s
Yes, Laird was very good. I left him out, my bad.

I gotta not vote when I am still pissed off by the loss.

So the bar for Fog has now dropped to such a level that we are satisfied if his defender holds him scoreless from 9 disposals, but said defender is marginally less effective than usual. Interesting.

6 goals is usually not an honourable loss but against a good team like Brisbane thought it was that tonight. The lead up play always looks better if it finishes with a goal rather than a point so we probably were better than we looked. If those posters had been goals it’s a very different look to the game.

Brown is cooked, Rachelle is tiring and Himmelburg tried hard but was still ordinary, which is more of a problem than if he wasn’t trying. Hately is the new Crouch it seems.

Fog kept Andrews out of the game largely and that helped generate as many scoring shots as we did. Not a great performance by any stretch, but did his job tonight.

Yeah,we brought Fog in for the non statistical role 🤣

3 of those laird inside 50’s went via mars.. so cant be counted.

1 of them was a brilliant bullet pass to tex on the lead.

I guess 1 out of 4 aint bad right?…

Laird I think is cooked. I'd even swap him out for Crouch. At least Crouch can half the centre.
Did you read the following:

???

Hardly "cooked".

yep.....its very obvious that he just cant handle the speed of AFL football. He cant run and all he does is wrestle his defender, its embarrassing.

The fact he gets praise for being competitive tonight really shows up the uncompetitive efforts from talls in recent games.

He was very ineffective tonight IMO, but you've got to give him a bit of a run. See if he can get a bit more of the footy and kick some goals in the next one or two weeks

Fogarty is a midfielder playing in a forwards body.

When given time and space he is excellent with the ball. Maybe, he could be dropped and and given a fitness program that could eventually put him around the midfield and he is placed as a big bodied mid in the Sanfl. He is an excellent user of the ball and a very skillful player. I just dont think he is a genuine big bodied forward.
