Laird has the look of a player trying his guts out to impress other clubs. Whether he stays or goes he is driving his price up.
More Murray rubbish. Looks like he's really enjoying being freed up from playing in defence and loving his new role.

That's a bit different to your 1st post....I'm far from certain he's the right pick for us either but he will go top 10at the lowest even if we pass on him. Unfortunately of the 3 players I rate the best in this draft career wise only 1 is available you would think but that shouldn't stop us bidding on Braeden Campbell and Jamarra Ugle-Hagan anyhow and then you have to weigh up if Elijah Hollands is worth that risk at our highest ever pick.
Narrator: Elijah Hollands was worth their highest ever pick

Will be good for McAsey too to have his old mate in the trenches with him. Force multiplier.

Not the answer though. Still can't kick without bringing down the global communication satellite network.

WAS might be the operative word....He was No.1 coming into the year and then the ACL intervened.

He can’t be not making the distance with 40 metre set shots on a slight angle, that was a putrid kick
Yeah that was weird. McAdam had one of those as well. Fog could play another 200 and I don't reckon you'd see that again

Luke Brown is flying under the radar. Has made some critical errors in defence this year.

Mcadam's fwd50 pressure is excellent. If he can average 1.5-2.0 goals per game for us on top of that, that's a huge win in the context of the Mcgovern trade. I think he will play 100+ games for the club.

Stengle is the best finisher on our list, must pick and stick. Fog will come good too. He's never had an extended run at it and playing him in defence in the SANFL was downright bizarre. Once he properly learns his forward craft, he'll be a real weapon.

Mcpherson was outstanding along with Sholl. Great late picks.

Lastly the Murphy hate on here is extreme. He's probably the most courageous player on our list, has decent production and is still only 21 (even though it feels like he's been here for a while).

mcasey needs a rest. looked totally out of his depth.. Butts deserves a go. Butts with talia back in.. McAsey out. and hartigan with yet another nothing game. seriously he’s a d grade level player who makes shocking decisions and often delivers it straight to the opposition.

I disagree. Tex needs a spell. No where near enough impact from him although he did a few good handballs. His kicking into the mark was .... ugh.

Tex out, Talia in, Fish up forward where he and himmelberg can throw themselves at packs.

Mcasey is bringing the reactions out of me once solely reserved for hartigan

I keep telling myself ‘1st year player’ but my god, he is a liability out there.

I hope we have a good counselor at the club to keep his confidence up

Any narrator worth his salt always speaks in the past tense.

Time to take a risk. Conservative old crows style won't save us this time

Should be leading out of the goal square and using his weapons. Not getting clusterfcuked up on the wing a million miles from goal.
This is exactly how the coaches fked up Tex's game. Now looks like they're going down the same track with Fog.

His kicking still goes high but it’s penetrating, unlike Matt. Absolutely set us up with a few plays from clean hands inside the contest and 10 clearances reflects that. He has a surprising burst of speed from the contest I didn’t think he had either. It looks like he’s been playing as a pure mid for years and Matt was the defender turned mid, such is how far above Matt‘ form he is right now.

At least they go deep i50 now rather than back into the centre square and back over his head

Not as bad if those kick are quick centre clearance due to the 6-6-6 rule......but I did see some low dart kicks hitting his team mate as well.
He's ok if he's kicking 15-25 m and has time.

Remember when Pyke arrived? He made all the players do kicking drills over different distances and looked at the data and they were super disciplined in 2016-17 just taking on the kicks they had a high probability of hitting.

And when team mates new a kick was out of someone's range they provided the within-range option.

Was brilliant coaching.

Not sure why that fell away.

LOL

You absolutely don't need to take a risk when you have the pick of the draft apart from probably only Ugle Hagan or Campbell in that range.
