I'd be more motivated to make a move up field and rotate guys like Hinge, Milera and Parnell to the wing. Maybe rest Sloane, rotate Pedlar into the middle a bit more to see how he goes.

From the naked eye at the ground, we seemed to be well on top with contested possessions. When the ball was in dispute, one of our players usually came out with it. That's good against a grunt-based Ross Lyon side.

Looked good... had a bit of dangerfield intent to win the ball about him... goes hard at the ball... haven't noticed that in a midfielder since dangerfield.

There’s a reason Murphy HAS been a whipping boy, he’s putting together a very good season this year though.

I have been very critical of Milera but thought he was excellent today.

I’m in a similar boat. That said, I’d still like to see him have that kind of performance when the game is on the line before I jump ship.

What can ya say, not much too negative from that, good win.
Especially happy we belted one of the sides with the new experienced coaches. My mate has been going on about how Nicks was a mistake blah blah blah and when North Ess and Saints started the year well he was chortling away. I can't wait to catch up with him again now. Reckon I'll be even further in front by the end of the season.

I think I mentioned last week that I previously thought our middle of the year slumps were from depth and injuries, but now I reckon it might be because of how poor our gameplan is for slippery conditions. Today, if anything, seems like additional evidence in favour of the theory. If we have an El Nino, it'll be a help to our cause.

Helps to have big mature bodies in wet and windy conditions.
We are currently built well for good weather

Re-watching Pedlar's draft highlights show he is a midfielder but I noticed he can gut also run.....

he was very very very very good in last years SANFL finals. Won't get 30+ touches but is bull like at the ball and has the left footers gift of running 10m out of stoppages and booming it 55 metres breaking the line.

Hard to be critical when you double the score of a team who was sitting top 4 before this round.

All played well.

Who were giving up on average 59 points a game and the previous highest against them was 83. We kicked 121.

Yep, interesting to note Balta; 194cm/105kg, Moore; 203cm/100kg and Ratugolea; 197cm/108kg where as Wilkie is shorter & much lighter; 191cm/88kg.

It doesnt even need to be in a contest. He spontaneously loses his feet every game. And it costs us every game.

not killing the ball punching it over for a behind is by far his worst attribute.

He coped a heavy bump from a hospital handball and given the game was stitched up they rested him. Will be fine

was really good last week with limited opportunity, continued to attack it hard today and very clear with his thought process with the ball in hand. super sticky fingers last week and continued to 'one-grab' it today.

Butts was very good this game.
Didn’t think Max was comprehensively beaten at all, one of Higgins goals wasn’t on max.
Dawson kicking in the first qtr was terrible.

don't need to be injured to be subbed out. But do reckon he's carrying something, only got it 21 times last week and 22 to sub point this week. And still from full minutes, not his normal racking up style.

went through patches over using the footy with 1 extra unnecessary handball and trying to be too cute with the kick rather than just getting it out of the contest hacking 50 metres forward (unless saints were playing a loose man behind the ball which we couldn't see on tv - would explain why crows tried to run it out of stoppages and kick it 25 metres)
