Brilliant win. Fitness won out in the last, you ran over them and kicking straight was a huge help :) This has to be a turning point. The coach should be emboldened by the changes made and now more (much more) is needed.

Huge two weeks coming up, both games should be wins. Cannot let this be a one/off flash in the pan.

Awesome.

Thanks Thank You GIF by BLKBOK

If you could return the favour that would be appreciated.

It's like Nicks has been reading big footy, did alot of things supporters asked for!

Midfield mix was a lot better tonight didn't look like we started with Dawson, Crouch and Laird all in there at the same time.

Soligo is an absolute superstar

Rankine with 20+ and 3 Goals which could have easily been 5

Keane on Curnow was superb

Worrell was great coming off his man to be 3rd man up

Great intensity from the whole team

Only negatives I would say we're

Jones effort that led to an easy Carlton goal

Mchenrey just does not provide much and missed an easy mark and goal

Fogarty looks out of form did a couple nice things but just isn't doing enough

Overall an outstanding win, just need to back it up next week
McKay had no impact once Worrell started becoming third man up.

We played a short pass game because we don't have the targets. Still a worry.

Well you play with what you have....the overall ball movement and skills was streets ahead of the last month.

Yes, it is a worry that we are not making a contested marking team. Thilthorpe should help here but we need one or two more.

Incredible win, very unlike us to win that sort of game.

Also frustrating in the sense it took Nicks this long to play the right mix in the midfield.

Soligo will have a gold jacket this year, Rankine has to play in the midfield, he's a natural in there.

Keays is a Carlton specialist, always saves his best for them and the rumours of Tex's demise were greatly exaggerated.

Still too many players not up to it or finished that we're persisting with. McHenry should never play again, Smith needs a tap on the shoulder and it's time to phase out Laird, at least out of the midfield.

All in all, to win away in a close one (two things we're not good at) against a top 8, possibly top 4 side at that can't be sneezed at. The important thing is to build on it. If we revert to the stagnat style of the first month next week and get torched by the Bombers, then it becomes meaningless.

Hopefully Welsh can mark

I thought Berry looked ominous when his first involvement was tossing some Carlton play piggy backing on him like he was a dad throwing his son.
Im not his biggest fan but he was absolutely huge in the last qtr. Won us the game, and not just because he kicked that goal

Thankyou sport24 for showing 3/4 of the game (stupid Warriors-Sea Eagles going to golden point and going the distance)

Made the allnighter worth it.

You need a bit of luck, and we got that with our goal kicking, and theirs in the second half

I said a couple of times during the week I thought we might win, having lulled Carlton into being overconfident against a terrible team; interestingly that didn’t happen, the standard was fairly high and Carlton played well.

Soligo; now, that boy can play

He has a place in our side imo, it makes a nice change for someone to actually have strength and not be built like a 14 year old ala Mchenry and Murphy.

So many great, Keane, Rach, Nank, Tex in the first half.

Sog, Bez, and Rankine in the second the standouts 🤩

We finally had a dynamic looking mid!

Dawson up forward for a stint was a great move by the coaching group, as was Bez putting work into Cripps.

McHenry awfully bad. How can the coaches avoid dropping him after 0 touches in the last qtr with the game in the balance. 8 touches, 4 of them turn overs….

Can't stand Nicks, the test will be if he sticks with the winning changes, but really a coach dumb enough not to implement them to start with doesn't deserve the job.

I want Nicks gone. But * me dead is it amazing to watch this team win an away game against Carlton in Melbourne!!!!
Who cares what you want

Also without wanting to downplay the vibe but McHenry *ing sucks and shouldn't start a game again. Sub or 2s
Was Horrible, him along with Fogarty, Smith, ROB and Laird were the senior players who were actively hampering the youngsters who were busting their guts out there.

Just know that those senior players and swimming cap head & his assistants are going to take all the plaudits and live off this win for months now too.
