Firstly, the "No Kane Cornes" Rule is back

West and Stack would be the ones. The rest extremely meh...
Narkle is worth a punt. He would add something different to our midfield.

I think he would be very open to coming especially with them making plays for Hopper and now Bruhn.

Even Brander he could be an option if Gunton leaves, 195cm and he was pick 13 in his draft.

I've decided I'm not on board with trading DGB to acquire pick 2 from West Coast.

It goes against my pre-season argument that list management makes more sense when you factor in 2 players over 1.

Does anybody remember the North poster saying he wouldn't give up Tarryn Thomas for Jack Scrimshaw and Dylan Moore?

Are we comfortable giving up Denver Grainger Barrass and (hypothetically) Bailey Humphrey for Elijah Tsatas?

Does one singular elite midfielder trump an elite interceptor and mid/fwd bull?

If you can bank on that one singular elite midfielder being a star you'd take the one.

As an example Melbourne trading Pick 2 which turned into Josh Kelly for Pick 9 (Christian Salem) & a young prospect in Dom Tyson at the time.

Josh Kelly turned into a star in hindsight and the Giants won that deal.

Something we should've done a couple years ago funny enough when we drafted DGB, The Kangaroos at the time were looking to move down for a second round pick, We could've taken Logan McDonald at pick 2 instead we took DGB & Seamus Mitchell. I know which combo I'd prefer.

So if we rate view Tsatas as a potential superstar and see a significant drop in the quality of midfielders in the draft after him we should do whatever it takes to land Pick 2.

U have no guarantee of this. We are putting all of our eggs in the one basket

We would have picked DGB at 2 anyway.

It’s more about what will it take for Eagles to let Pick 2 go.

I keep seeing people making claims about how DGB is tracking fine and what not, but that’s besides the point. I wouldn’t want to lose him either.

But it’s about what the Eagles will ask for, and then how badly we want that top 2 pick.
Yeah I totally agree but like any deal you gotta give something to get something. Oh and I love how all I did was ask your gut feel on something and all hell breaks loose 😂😂😂

Is Salem a punt I reckon? has quite a contract left is a concern along with not having a great year. Good kick and could play midfield with us. Was very good last year just didn’t get on the park enough

Pretty sure he's cooked. Can't get out of a jog.

They don't owe us anything. They're staring down the barrel of a long rebuild and they won't be handing out freebies because of an assistant coach we gave them 5 years ago.
This on top of the fact that Sammy was let go 1 year early from his assistant coach contract at WC to come back to us. IMO that was the return of favour right there.

HFC have 6, 24, 49, 61, 78.

My bored quick 2018-2020 nibble list

Duursma - 24
R West - 49
T Berry - 61
J Bytel - 30-40
S Flanders - 24
M Bergman - 24
J Farrar - 30-40
Would only take Duursma, West or Flanders out of that lot and wouldn’t trade pick 24 for any of them…

Can he play midfield though? Doesn't seem like he could transition into that role and we don't need another half back.

Not sure about Salem but I wouldn't mind
neal-bullen as a high half fwd . I think we've looked at him in the past .
