It's a great sell... but it's wrong.

1. He gets four years on the same or less money. So no, he doesn't keep his salary. He loses some.
2. I'll give you that one, can't really say they aren't the current best team in the league when they just won the premiership lol.
3. Highly doubtful. Get to train with them? Sure. But playing with them would mean getting past all the other mids at the Cats that don't get a game. Along with Bruhn. To finally get a game. If he want's regular game time in the next two years, Geelong isn't the place to find it. After two years, sure he could be a great part of their midfield. Once all the stars have retired and the slide is on and he no longer has a chance at a premiership.

it's how I think Bowes will see it.
And if that's how he sees it - it's not wrong. It's an effective sell.

Yeah but won’t be too long before it becomes sleepy hollow again and no Dangerfield post
The most amazing aspect of this trade period is how many people want to go home and stay in Adelaide 😂
Disappointing if Bowes has chosen to go elsewhere but teams in the premiership window and with superstars like Danger and Hawkins have an easier sell than teams in our position. Once the champions disappear the mystique disappears too then players stop playing for unders and they’re back in the pack..Target their players when they’re on the downhill slope..Stengele and De Koning will be up for big pay days next season..

Our outs list in the last 10 year period is much better, it’s just the nature of footy. Franklin, Rioli, Birch, Hodge, Mitchell, Lewis, Burton, Hill..
Yeah but those guys left in the middle of their careers, where's for us it would only be Franklin, Hill and Burton. It is footy but somethings not right.

Woops, pardon the intrusion! Can someone point towards the Hawthorn trades and draft thread??? Stumbled into the Geepoog thread by mistake??
Is getting to nauseating levels of worship

Everyone want to be the first to get all magnanimous and talk up their amazing club, but it's happening over and over itt and it's exhausting.

1 flag after 11 years. Ease up on the hero worship

He can't say he wants to play more footy, and then go to Geelong. Even with their retirements, he isn't in their best 30
He’s a better player than Zac Guthrie, Mark O’Connor, Gryan Miers and Brad Close. All premiership players

Lets be honest.

Bowes is like the nice enough girl from around town who doesn't go anywhere without her supermodel girlfriend.

Bowes is is popular and the centre of attention right now, but we all know the real reason why.

Bowes is half the player Dan Howe is. He will need to spend his money on counseling when this contract ends to find the answers of where it all went wrong.

Continuously overlooked in these pages.

We’ll have slayed Goliath to have him select us.
Also the facts that:

1. He has played 83 games already

2. His 2022 was hampered by 4 months out from Jan - May with a shoulder injury

3. GC have the likes of Touk Miller, Noah Anderson, Matt Rowell, Lachie Weller (pre-ACL), David Swallow and Brandon Ellis rolling through their midfield.

4. James Worpel played himself out our senior team this year, yet pretty much every best 22 for 2023 I’ve seen posted here has him back in the midfield and “ready to bounce back”. Why is that any different to Bowes?

5. Geelong need to refresh their midfield as the veterans slide out / retire. Duncan, Guthrie & Danger will all be done by 2025.

6. He would walk into our midfield, but probably not play finals until 2025
