Firstly, the "No Kane Cornes" Rule is back

Flanders, Sharp and Bowes are too talented to be running around in the VFL. It certainly wouldn’t hurt to enquire about one of them and see what eventuates. Wasn’t Jeremy Sharp a player of interest last year? Why not try again? He’d certainly cost a lot less than last year in a trade.

Stocker and Sharp both leaving their clubs this year would be interesting. Especially given how much was given up during live trading to get them.

Shows how fraught with danger it can be.
Holmes at Geelong the only success story that comes to mind.

On trade 6, 15 and 47 to West Coast for 2 and 38

OUT: Mitchell, 6, 24
IN: 2, 38

I'd do that. It seems fair for Collingwood to gain Mitchell. Would West Coast?
Im keeping 6 and 15. I have been doing some draft prospect watching lately and no way Phillipou lasts to our pick. Recruiters would get sacked. His ceiling is ridiculous, plus he's a year younger than the rest. He is my 1A, and Hewett 1B.
My rankings are Ashcroft, Tsatas, Phillipou, Hewett, Cadman, Sheezel, Clark. Hewett is getting severely underrated, from what I have seen he's the Dusty/JDG Clone from this draft. Wouldn't be giving eagles to much for a pick swap cos he's as good as any in draft. They will prob just take him @2. With pick 24 which we have atm I would be happy with either Konstanty or D. Jones. Small Fwd. Jones will be great at next level. Why not lock up the Swan Districts boys in him and Hewett to go with DGB. Sorry for posting this here as for some reason I have been banned from our draft page lol.

Where's Wardlaw?

Even if we do not trade for another player i am already happy.

We have picked up Amon, let go of the players past it or not up to it.

Trade out Tom and Brockman for picks, an focus on the draft.

Next year trades and more f/a will open up for us.
Absolutely and don't want anyone who think of us as their second choice. I would be happy trading Tom and Brock to enhance our drafts - this year draft and better still next year draft.

I think that's pretty bad for us.
That's giving up 3x assets for 1; two of which (Tom Mitchell + Pick 6) are bloody good.

IMO, we can't sell the farm for 1x high Pick. Having only 2 + 38 would be pretty bad.

Bowes has talent and class, could bring him in and play him as a pure mid.
Flanders doesn’t really interest me.
Can’t see sharp leaving suns and not going back to WA.

This is a horrible deal.

That's an insane amount of assets to give up for a 4 pick upgrade and a 7 pick slide.

The thought of Geelong getting both Henry and Bruhn, leaving us empty handed, is depressing
Why? Are either proven match winners? Are either currently best 22 in their current teams?

What you are depressed about is two draft picks who have shown glimpses. Not really worth getting depressed about.

How good did you think Scrimshaw was before we brought him over?

Getting these highly rated youngsters for unders will accelerate our rebuild.

Zac foot is the one catching the eye from VFL final. He’s been awesome.
Southport are a well drilled (and most importantly, well funded) outfit. Still reckon they would have made a better AFL club than the Suns. Shark is a much cooler mascot.

Fremantle hate this post.

They deserved it they invested a lot into the game in a rugby stronghold when no one else did and have built up magnificent facilities up there .

With Mitchell & Gunston now looking very likely to depart to Collingwood & Brisbane respectively.

Gunston having met with Brisbane very recently - Fages a big influence here - 2 possibly 3 year deal mooted.

That makes it at least 8 list changes required, Amon a confirmed arrival.

McEvoy
Howe
Shiels
Callow
Downie
Phillips
Hartigan
Gunston
Mitchell

There is no way we will be taking 8 18 year olds in the upcoming National draft to fill the list.

We could only reasonably assume we have at least 2-3 mature targets confirmed before filling the rest of the list with 18 year olds.

This shapes up as our most important off season in a long time.

Flanders putting on a clinic in the VFL prelim, Ned Moyle looks really awesome too- such a shame we couldn’t grab him in the MSD
Ramsden >>> Moyle
