Ins and Outs vs Port Power est 1997

Thought Hansen was ok yesterday. Gave away a free against Ottens but at least he was trying everything to stop him. I'd rather he give away a free kick playing tight on Ottens than letting him take an easy uncontested possession. Led up all day and as usual was pretty much ignored. Laidley is using him in a number of different roles during the games he has played this season, which can be a bit unsettling, but to his credit he is giving 100% effort.

To date he hasn't played a shocker which you might expect from a young player. Was stiff not to be paid a mark in the last qtr but luckily Lindsay kicked the goal from a clever crumbing effort.

A number of times he had to leave his direct opponent to pick up Ling, Mackie etc who consistently found themselves clear of their opponents. At one stage I counted 5 Geelong Players with no opponent. I can't work out how quickly they find their own space.

Out: S Thompson & Sinclair (and posters sledging eachother and harping back to six month old posts):thumbsdown:

In: Campbell and Edwards (or Riggio & Edwards if Campbell rested again).

Also in:
- Corey Jones to a HBF,
- Hamish to the ruck,
- Petrie to CHB and
- A half forward line of: Hansen, Edwards and Campbell/McMahon.

No more than two changes this late in the season and with a team that performed okay (not great) against the most talented team in the comp by a stretch.

Against mediocre opposition this is the perfect time to play Jones & Grant back into form.

Also no room for N Thompson, amazingly.

In N Thompson.
Would be good to see Lower on Lower, or Power and Lower on Lower from Power.

Geez, im loving the amount of guys we have running around in the VFL who can easily slot into our side at the moment. Now thats depth.

Any two of Goldstein (50 hit outs last week), Azza, Thommo, Flash, Riggs to get a gig.
McMahon, S.Thompson to have a spell i reckon.

As for people calling for CJ or Harro be dropped...well at least its a change from the 'drop Watt & Power' vomit....but still a bit far fetched.

I wouldn't be surprised if we rested Urquhart this week. He is looking a little tired. Perhaps a direct swap for Levi.

Wouldn't mind giving Urquhart a rest but i doubt Levi will be given a game this season.

Mark him down for a 2009 round one debut.

I think its more likely that Lower would come in.
