We are missing 4 of our best 5 players. Every club in the league will struggle to win a game if they miss key players.

Look at how ordinary players like Embley, Lynch and Hansen are now with Judd and Cousins not playing at West Coast.

Key players missing have a snowballing effect on all the other players in the side.

Why take Laycock out of a side already missing 8 of its best 22 and replace him with a player who is not even performing well against non AFL ruckmen in the feeder competition. I'm sorry, its just gross stupidity.

Laycock has been under performing, fact. Yes, Bellchambers probably isn't ready to play especially after Sat game. But it would be a great test for him and who knows, he might actually hold his own against Brogan and Lade.

Laycock is getting worse and may just need a run at Bendigo to get a his hands on the footy. We wouldn't be having this conversation if Laycock was performing.

1. Tredrea roams between the forward 50 and has a big tank. Doesn't take that many marks in contested situation which is where Michael excels in spoliing. Besides if you have been watching Port Adelaide recently Tredrea hasn't been that bad. He is certainly a danger still.

2. Pears was useless on Anzac Day and you want to put him on the dangerous Westhoff. Pears should be one player at Bendigo this weekend if we follow your rules of not rewwarding mediocrity.

3. Why would you put Nash (our best attacking defender) in a role as a minder/tagger on Ebert ? Where does our run out of defense come from then.
Ebert would be perfect for Slattery I would have thought.

4. NLM/Motlop may eventuate but I would be concerned with that one.

NO on both counts.

McPhee's days as a defender are over. I would much rather put Pears in defence than put McPhee back there plus McPhee is doing well forward. Johns as a forward is just as silly..he was probably worst on field for us against the Pies..Daniher up forward!
