Yep. Make this one as close to R1 as possible.
Can see them resting Zuthrie though, looked gassed late in the game.

Emerging defender Jake Kolodjashnij is targeting Geelong’s final match of the pre-season Series as his return from a summer dogged by illness and injury. Kolodjashnij has battled groin soreness since joining the main group last month after recovering from glandular fever that laid him low late last year. But the 21-year-old rising star is confident of overcoming the issue in time to push for selection in Geelong’s final pre-season hit-out against Essendon in Bendigo on March 12. If not, he’s likely to line-up for Geelong’s VFL side in its practice match under lights at Kardinia Park on March 17 – also against Essendon – in a bid to be part of the Cats’ Round 1 line-up to travel to Perth to take on Fremantle.

If Mackie and Kolo return, who misses because Thurlow, Henderson & Tuohy were very good today.

It may have to be Ruggles and Lonergan out.
I really hate Andrew Mackie as a footballer and that's not hiding my true feelings about it. To my eyes, he makes us a weaker team in the same way Murdoch does when he's picked to play.

Mackie had zero contested possessions last time he played and even then he could not use the ball as well as what Lonergan did in today's game.

I want to see quick ball movement all over the field, forwards leading at the ball carrier and mids hitting up leading targets - surely that's not too much to ask.

zuthrie and thurlow to stay. We do actually need more than one small defender. Blicavs and Ghs out instead. Although if smith stinks it up in JLT 3 then Blicavs replaces him in the ruck.

Isn't that arse end about? Pick your best back six. If someone doesn't fit, do they fit elsewhere? If not, VFL.

Feels like it won't happen but I'd love to see Motlop dropped. He needs to actually earn his way into the side and based on today Horlin-Smith is ahead of him.

Shame Black didn't do much today but he needs another chance to see what happens.
Even though tomahawk and HT couldn't find the goals you could see the defenders looking for both of them.
Hope menz has another good hitout, he looked very classy

Allegedly Scott selwood was 1 week away with a toe stress reaction ? And was quoted as definitely being available for jlt 3.

Kolodashnij groin 1-2 weeks which must put him in serious doubt for rd 1 as he probably has done very little running or cycling with a groin

He was bung average... set the tone for being awful in the 2nd when he dropped a chest mark and then did nothing from there.

I would like to see Hawkins left out of JLT 3 as we know what he can provide rd 1. Do his work on the track.

I want to see Aaron Black & Harry Taylor trialled together up forward. Give us more exposure to what things look like if Hawkins goes down. Rhys Stanley, Blicavs and Z.smith trialled in forward and ruck as these combinations need to get worked out. One gets omitted rd 1 if not two of above.

Ruggles, Mackie, Stewart, Thurlow can rotate back pocket, half back, wing slug it out for a spot.
