100%, for 79 mins of that game it was pure embarrassment, if not for one of the most freaky moments of all time it wouldn't have been memorable. That freaky moment is one of the best moments you'll see, but the game itself doesn't deserve much credit.

Round [emoji[emoji6][emoji6]] wasn’t that good of a game overall but watching it live it was like “how the hell are we losing to hawthorn, this is shit, we suck” but as the season dragged on we realised hawthorn were a lot better than we gave them credit for. With the benefit of that hindsight the game wasn’t as bad but the semi final was a much higher standard from both teams.

but watching it live it was like “how the hell are we losing to hawthorn, this is shit, we suck”

For me, it was more that once again it looked like we’d backed up a famous unexpected “WHERE ARE THE HINKLEY HATERS NOW?!!” win (our first against Geelong outside of SA under Hinkley, and first against the Cats away since 2007) with a vintage bathwater overdose in a home game that should’ve otherwise been a comfortable victory.

The unpredictable swings from quarter to quarter, half to half, and week to week remain the most baffling part of it all, regardless of the perceived strength of the opponent.

We keep being told the coaching is the best thing we have going for us, and yet…
