I think that with all the experience and skill that entails Fremantle our young squad could have some serious trouble against them. If Andrew Walker was still in the squad then he may have gone on Matthew Pavlich but with his injury Jarrad Waite has been named across HB. Shame for Waite he was getting a good break in the forward line and by no fault of his own he now has to play in another position.

The suspension to Chris Tarrant has been effectively nullified with the return of Jeff Farmer from injury as he poses just as good a threat. We need to contain Mathew Pavlich and make sure he doesn't have a big impact on the game but with our inexperience it may be very hard.

The return of Eddie Betts will increase our effectiveness in the loose ball and around the packs in the 50 and create a few goals that without Eddie would probably not be kicked. Ross Young has been put in the side for Andrew Walker which IMO might not have been as good for the team as maybe putting Grigg in as he needs the experience and a taste for the competition at AFL level.

Finally Congratulations and good luck to Jarrad Waite as he makes his first appearance as captain. Hopefully a good game tonight will help his confidence and aid in his development as a footballer.

Unfortunately i think Waite is the best option on Pav at the moment.
The captain on captain battle could determine the result of the game.
If we can clog the midfield corridor and force them wide we are a big chance to win.
Is sandilands fit ? there's a whisper around he carrying a groin injury.

It's raining here in perth and if it keeps it up into tomorrow Maybe Banno can do the job on Pav. Looking forward to seeing the game tomorrow.
Local media barely giving us any exposure and a last quote i saw Blues paying more than $4.00 for a win.
If it wet tomorrow im having a little bit of that.

How heavy is it raining? Is it as bad as it is here in Victoria? Unfortunately though if it's wet it may take out our great running game. I'm sure though that Murphy, Simpson and Scotland will adapt and provide us tonnes of run through the corridor and through the wings. If Fevola marks as well as he does in the dry tomorrow i think he will kick a stack.

Personally I think the line up is a mess

No Kennedy and no Players making there debut (Grig)

I think we will do well though Waite will give Pav a bath if he plays on him

Close match.

Do you think the match committee have a little joke each week when they have to put all the players in positions to submit a team sheet.

Hans't been relevant for about 10 years.........yet people still post things like
"I can't believe X has been named in X position"........of course, this is where they will all line up.

Dont worry about who you have on Pav, no-one wins that battle!

Sandilands has been carrying a groin injury for a few weeks, dont think he has trained much for a while.

Dockers are bringing in four players this week who between them have only played a couple of AFL games all year in Farmer, Shcammer, Parker and Murphy. They have lost one of their quick players (which they dont have many of) in Peake.

I think if your young guys can step up and win it out of the middle you have a good chance of knocking them off here. Wouldn't be surprised if you caused an upset! (Having said that, my tipping is pretty poo this year!)

Beautiful day here this morning after raining last night, should only be light showers if anything.

Anyway, good luck, hope you can do it!

LOL, just had another look out the window and its grey skies now!

WA are destroying vic metro. Luke Sampi looks like a very promising player in the forward line. Definitely not the best game to be judging the young players for Victoria.

Kruezer might slide :D

With Sandilands definately out, pity we can't get Kreuzer to back up for two games.
