25 to start with.

Carey
Gary Ablett
Lockett
Dunstall
Leigh Matthews
Hird
SOS
Nicholls
Doull
Whitten
Jesaulenko
Hart
Reynolds
Bunton
Framer
Barassi
Skilton
Dyer
Williams
Coleman
Simon Madden
Hudson
Kernahan
Ian Stewart
Coventry

Sorry but Kernahan? LOL!

Also I've noticed you always list Carey first. You keep saying Lloyd will be remembered for diving, well Carey will be remembered as the player who f*cked one of his best friends wives and got caught, then did a heap of drugs and threw his life in the toilet. Both are champions, but the worst of people is always one of the major things that sticks in the mind the most. Gary Ablett had that young girl die in his hotel room, Lockett crushed Peter Caven and gave an umpire the finger, etc...

And just for the record, I am not comparing Lloyd to Carey. You don't need to compare one player to another to judge to know the truth. Lloyd is a champion in his on right.

You found 1 player out of 25!! Poll it - Kernahan was better. Swap Voss then and Lloyd is out of the 25 again. I don't want Lloyd call a champion beacuse it takes away the privilege earn't by the greats of the game.

Attack Carey all you like but no Essendon player in the history of your club played the game at the level Carey did. Carey is greater than every single Essedon player.

I'd fair wager Dick Reynolds was better. Or did he win 3 Brownlows, Captain/Coach 4 premierships, 7 club B&F's and all the rest because he sucks?

I have never said that Lloyd was better then this player or that, but it's like you're trying to put a limit on how many players can be rated at a certain level. Once a new player reaches that level of awesome, must we cast one down and out? Face it, Lloyd will join the hall of fame and go down in history as one of the champions of the game. Period.

Not in the majority of football supporters eyes. Essendon champion only. Sorry.

I'm sorry, did you miss the part about Dick Reynolds being better then Wayne Carey? Or does your hatred of Matthew Lloyd blind you to everything else? Your sheltered opinion is laughable. Grow up and go to a North match.

Reynolds!!! Thats funny - winning all those flags when there were 10 teams in the comp and the brave footballers went to war. Yeah he was a gun!! LOL.

Yeah lets go back to the 1930's to find an Essendon player to compare with Carey. Why not Lloyd or Hird or Tim Watson or Madden??

Yet you name Dyer, Reynolds, Coventry, Whitten, Bunton etc in ur 25 players, you hypocritical ****. Compare Lloyd to players from Carey's era ownwards, 1990-now then, he'll stack up at least in the top 10. How dumb can one person get...

And Dicky boy is Essendons greatest player. Ever - LOL!!!!

He will be seen as better than Kernahan, Williams and Harvey in that list when his career is over. Remember he has at least 2 seasons left (richo is 34, he is only 31) in which he could go up to 1000+ goals and win a few finals.

Not sure if it's a limited knowledge of football or history, but Reynolds won three Brownlows before Germany invaded Poland and won three Premierships after the war was over.

Thanks - the fairytale is now really complete.

Dick Reynolds - you guys are the funniest!!

That's what Carey said to himself the first time he bonked his vice-captain's missus....didn't quite work out that way did it.

Reynolds -immortal superstar of Austalian Rules football.

Carey -pathetic,tragic ex-superstar who brought shame on his club and nearly destroyed it with his selfish actions.

And how many when Germany invaded Poland?

None. So in conclusion, you were wrong. Dick Reynolds did not play his best football when the competition was weakened by the war.

Now that you've been shown up as speaking out of your depth, I'll make a loose presumption that you'll remove yourself from what was an otherwise reasonable discussion on one of the games best players.

*Nearly died from laughter*

Why use Richo as an example? Michael Tuck was 38 wasn't he? That means Lloyd's got 7 years left! Surely he'll get at least 80 goals in each of those years. He's gonna smash Plugger's record.
And no Lloyd isn't on the same page as Diesel, Sticks & Harvs. He wouldn't make top 20 from 'Carey's era'.
Keep trying Bomber sheep. This is fun. I can picture you crying into your keyboards as you defend Highpants. :p

And we love nothing more than chumps like you crying Lloyd isn't a champion because of your hatred and jealousy of him. Every team wishes they had Lloyd over the last 15 years, this is fact.

Lloyd is/will be a champion, none of your crying can stop this from happening.

Which was his best year? BWHAAA BHWAAAA. 85?

None. So in conclusion, you were wrong. Dick Reynolds did not play his best football when the competition was weakened by the war.

Ok i have said this once aleady but i will say it again. How many times does this flog want to come back for more after embarrassing himself time and time again? Mate, you are just making yourself look like a twat. If you are going to be such a flog you should atleast get your facts right. So far according to you Lloyd averages 2.5 goals a game and Sir Dick Reynolds won all his flags and brownlows during the war.

I will give you a tip mate. A grave only needs to be 6ft deep. Why the F#$^K you are 11ft under and still digging i will never know. Time to give up methinks.

It doesn't matter how much you hate Lloyd. He will still be remembered as a champion of the game and one of the best players of his era.

Collingwood would have loved to have Lloyd in 2002/2003. They wouldn't have the patheic record of 1 flag in 50 years if they did.

Exceptional player no doubt.

God help us all if he has a career ahead of him in commentary, can't remember the game but I heard him earlier in the season and it was a painful experience.

The most depressing, monotone expressionless voice I have ever heard...

And how do you know that when little dickie stayed home he was not bonking all the real mens missus that waited for their husbands to return?

Some stand and fight - others run.

Probably the same way you ASSUME Carey would go to war. If anything Carey has proved himself an incredibly selfish man outside of his football career. He has no concept of mateship, and I would regard him as likely to avoid going to war.

Yer, well I can't wait to hear Paul Hasleby's monotone expressionless insights every week on 10 news. Highlight of my day I tell you.
