Possibly slightly overegged it but playing with basically 17 men on field isn't easy. Melksham hasn't been an AFL level player for a few years and it shouldn't surprise anyone that Goodwin gifting him 2 games to get to 200 wasn't going to be appreciated by everyone. Who likes nepotism?

Yeah that gap is pretty big these days. Sam Weideman regularly beats up VFL teams and is pretty shit at AFL level. Majak Daw dominates the crap out of VFL rucks every week too.
