Roast Media Shakes Head, Part 8

Timmy says enough, it's pretty clear what he thinks.
I think Timmy does really well. He clearly like the rest of us wants change but he's also a realist and points our the obvious when it comes to situation the club is in. Today's interview with WGT showed exactly what their roles are. WGT makes strong comments about getting rid of everyone, and then Timmy tries to get back on track to get constructive content for the listener with a question like "how are we going to do it? How do we get better at playing finals' which was a fantastic question and one I would have loved WGT to answer. WGT replies about corporate governence and him feeling disrespected but it's not because it's sour grapes that he didn't get on the board.

Tim is what made our club great. He gives himself 24 hours to moan and whinge and then he comes back with how are we going to fix this. I understand why everyone is happy that WGT is speaking out, I've said myself that Kenny should go, but a whole bunch of people whining and whinging on 5aa or here will not change anything. I would have had HUGE respect for Warren if he would have answered the question with "If I was on the board I would do this.....If I was President I would have done this... If I was the coach..." Anyone who has been in management knows that the person who walks into the office and bitches and moans about the team, the structure the process without any solutions is not the person you look up to nor promote. People who ask the right questions and talk about solutions are the people you want (both on radio and in business). And it's a business.

I'd like to hear them address the tenures, of not only Ken and his abysmal record across his, but of Koch and Richo too (Richo has been at the club a long time).

The same rules they are applying simply don't apply when your speaking about a group of supposed leaders, who have been in charge at a place for more than a decade.

Its disingenuous.

Kane is beginning to teeter on accountability from the organisation as a whole, which for him is just protecting his best mate Kenny, but will serve the deeper issue of shining the spotlight on Koch and the decision makers.

Kens the symptom, they are the disease.

Our only avenue as members and supporters at the moment is to voice our frustrations through socials etc, and support people with clout like WGT calling for change.

The club seems to have closed ranks, as we knew the cowards would, just like 21. They would be hoping to just hide away long enough for the emotion to pass and heat die down, but through Tredders and others, through the noise we've been making, the media are picking it up, this is what we've been calling out for for years, the pressure is building.

According to Kane we went into the season with 1 defender above 190cm on the list.

I'd like to know which 3 of Ryan Burton (191cm), Trent McKenzie (191cm), Tom Clurey (193cm) and Aliir Aliir (196cm) actually weren't on our list this year.

If it is the list you have to include at least Pasini, Marshall and McCullum as well. That we can't develop them enough to even fill in for one game when we are desperate means either the list manager or the coaching staff are wrong.

the rewriting of history by the media is baffling, i just dont think they hear themselves. Port go from 'premiership contenders' to they are lucky to be there''. From one of the best midfields in the league to lack of depth, from its grand finals or bust for ken to i didnt expect them to be in the 8, from a great list that has been topped up even more with jhf to there are holes all over the list.

Its has become absolutely obvious that the media actively protects Ken because they have gone from one extreme to the next but have never said that the coach is the problem in the whole 12 years?

The protection racket around this bumbling idiot is truly astounding. Ken Hinkley is our Joe Biden.

Hi finbarr is it possible to contact you regarding an old post here on BigFooty about the Coopers Portagaff commercial that featured a relation of yours? Tonight, at 7.30, The Adelaide Show Podcast is going live with our 10th birthday episode and the focus is nostalgia. We'd like to toast that old ad and either play it (if we can find a copy) or remake it. I know this is off topic and late notice. podcast@theadelaideshow.com.au is my email address. Fingers crossed. Steve

"Reckless"

Feel like Scott of the Antarctic
Base camp too far away
A Russian sub beneath the Arctic
Burke and Wills and camels
Initials in the tree
She don't like That kind of behaviour
She don't like That kind of behaviour

Getting knocked out of finals in straight sets
We don't like that kind of behaviour

The men at the factory
Are old and cunning
They don't owe nothing
So boy start running
It's the best years of your life
They want to steal

So, in a nutshell, rather than face the music and front the members and fans over another failed season and the board's ludicrous decision to re-sign a failure of a coach, the club brass has instead put forth it's minister of information (Rucci) to dress down said supporter base by telling us we are all wrong. Honestly, f**k this club.

The guys a paid actor so a grain of salt anyway but you're right the club thinks it's gonna do this again and control the media and narrative.
