The new logo is modern, and by not having it encased on a shield it gives them more flexibility to do stuff with it as well.

The old one doesn't have to be in a shield though, still looks great without the shield:

I would say it was more last years first derby.
We weren't looking too bad until the decimation that game caused. Had beaten GWS and really we were even in that Derby till the end with no bench and a couple of guys playing injured.

I would rather we focussed on FA's or players who are not yet stars (like Yeo and Cripps when we got them) than paying the premium that will be required for a finished product like Warner.

If he costs a top 5 pick then that's a price we should we willing to pay, he's only 22 still and would be around for a decade and most top 5 picks don't end up as good as him. Fits the age bracket we are sorely lacking in too, and would make the transition post yeo and kelly a lot smoother rather than the guys from the 2021-2023 drafts shouldering the load.

A midfield of Yeo, Warner, Reid, Kelly, Hewett, Ginbey in 2025 would be absolutely elite
