So exactly how do you get McGovern, Shiel & Fasolo ....plus this, without giving up pick's #1 2018 & 2019 ????

First pick next season for Sheil would be the plan. I’m confident it wouldn’t be pick 1 overall.

Fasolo - free agent

McGovern - 2nd and a state league player should do it.

Setterfield - been injured a lot, could probably do it with a 3rd rounder

Fasolo is a free agent so no picks there.
I'd assume 2019 first would be used if Shiel nominated us... Could throw in another pick to get Setterfield if he nominates us.

It is possible pick 1 will have to be used and broken into 3 picks if all nominate us. We have plenty of currency and options for those guys if they all nominate us. I can't see Shiel nominating us however

Dont have to say colin young is dumb. what evidence do you have of this? harsh
I wouldn't call Young dumb, but he has a history of being overly acrimonious in his dealings. E.g. Tried dictating last year to Adelaide with the Cameron trade, such that Noble from Brisbane asked him to pull his head in, as was not helping negotiations.

Doesn't exactly have the respect of other player managers like Connors, who have made it known they don't like how he goes about things.

He's not dumb, but he's not the most professional player manager going around...

Feel like he gets a good result for the destination club, screws over the current.
Not really as McCarthy standing out for a year has meant his form has suffered at Fremantle.

:p Again contracted ......you have no feel for trades & contracted players

And this is getting increasingly likely

12 is overs by a big margin for McGovern. Won't happen.
Ricciuto is on record as saying the Crows want a top 10 pick as a result of the Gov trade... so going to be interesting to watch what happens... If anything.

If we get all 3 of MM sett and shiel. By all means wayno, take pick 1!
It'll take a bundle of picks .....but really can see Shiel choosing Essendon, with his old team mate Smith

Yeah Roo certainly has form with the grandiose statements. It won't be anywhere near 10 that gets offered. Always interesting viewing when our 2 clubs enter trade negotiations.

Not really, as he is the director that overseas the footy operations, so he would have inside knowledge of what the Crows expectations are.

It may end up being like Gibbs in year 1 that the 2 parties can't reach agreement.

Yeah it might not go down, not sure how that works out with Mitch but we'll see.

And Gov had thoughts of leaving before the camp even happend. Anyone thinking the integrity unit are getting involved here are definitely clutching at straws

So what you are saying is that McGovern resigned with Adelaide, and immediately after penning that signature starting thinking about wanting to leave?

All these little reasons that you cite as being the reasons he wants to leave weren’t considerations before he and Adelaide negotiated a 3 year deal?

He's close with Pyke, so won't be an issue between them. His main issues are not wanting to be the 3rd tall behind Tex & JJ... along with issues with footy operations staff over the management of his injuries.

It's not like we would banish him to the sanfl as a best 22 player & $550K is still good money if a trade can't be done.

The "little reasons" began during last year's finals series.

Personally I hope that’s how it pans out.

Because unlike Gibbs who was still happy at Carlton, I can’t see McGovern having a great season next year the way that Gibbs did to force you guys into paying what we wanted.

So we’ll just wait a year until Adelaide realise that the impact of having a disgruntled player on their list is bringing down his trade value, and pick him up even cheaper lol

Gov is more professional than you think. He's not going to spit the dummy.

If he was unprofessional as you suggest, why would your club be chasing him so hard?

Think about it...
