Pies 2nd best in both their finals games imo yet are into the Grand Final.

It’s set up for the Lions to get the job done this season.

Absolutely. It does seem like whoever wins tonight (safe bet is easily on the Lions) will win the flag. Pies are not playing their best footy at all. Knock wood, but I can see another one sided GF and I'd enjoy watching the Pies miss out on yet another flag as much as any normal, rational person.

Plus I would love to see Linc win a flag. Met him once and he's as lovely as you'd suspect!

Peak Hawks in their 3peat may have beaten peak Tigers.
Peak Cats 7,9,11 may have beaten 3 peat Hawks?
Now is now, and you can only beat the rest of the comp as it exists.
There is more pressure on each team each year, and we saw how we handled pressure this year.

Think dogs 2016 and Dees 2021 those wins were the start of 2-3 cups… hasn’t eventuated …. And let’s not forget simmo at the eagles.. boy oh boy… Kenny at Port 2013-2014… surely a cup going there way… nothing!

No s**t, that's the whole point of the conversation. I'm telling you an opinion based of my subjective appraisal of the relative quality of different sides. Obviously. I never tried to suggest otherwise. Many discussions are based around subjective claims, it's kind of a normal thing people do when they exchange opinions with one another. I'm honestly amazed I even have to explain this.

Subjective opinions need to be slanted in the Geelong positive assertion though. So how subjective can we go before sensitivities are harmed?

Nick Daicos showed his value in that last 10 minutes. Game saving. He is a jet, and will soon be the # 1 player in the comp.

Interestingly, JDeG showed his best is absolutely brilliant. He is the equivalent of Petracca and the Bont with form like last night, and could be the NS medallist next week.

The other thing we noted was Nick Daicos singling out a distraught Toby Greene last night, and several other Giants straight after the game, rather than jumping all over his own Pies. He is a class act, and deserves every award and accolade that comes his way.

Lions haven’t won a game at the MCG for years. Will be tough for them to beat the Pies there.

I had to look twice at DeGoey, one burst away at centre bounce- never seen a motor so fast not on a jet plane. Colored boots were a blur of acceleration. He's got a sniff of champers out of the Pcup that one.

As said before, we have not beaten any of the 4 prelim teams, and we were so far off the pace it's not worth arguing.
