Don't typically venture on other boards but just wanted to say... you defeated them structurally, and skills were far better, never really looked out of control of the game... yet all the bloody commentators said were how good "these Doggies" are and how brave Beveridge is and how The Package is the game breaker. No - Waite and Petrie were the game breakers and your tackling won the game.

Anyway well done on 6-0, hopefully see you in September.

Even our very own Wayne Carey said Dustin Martin is better than Ziebell.
Had to laugh at that one as i think Dusty has been crap this season and did nothing in the final last year.
But i'm going off topic now.

The pressure in the game from both sides probably exceeded what it was in some of the finals we've played in the last 2 years. Being at the game tonight, I just thought it was a huge step up in that area from the Freo game - so yeah we didn't play pretty football but anyone who was there knows there were no easy kicks and quite often, hard disposal decisions to make given how many numbers the dogs were getting behind the ball. We hit them harder than they've been hit all year and they looked shell shocked at times - it was as tough a game of footy I can remember us dishing out and that is on the back of our pressure being great (ranked 1) all year. Very proud.

Just got home from the game. Awesome turn out, that was as fired up as I've ever seen a North crowd. Great stuff. Waite, absolutely loving this guy. Wells brilliant, Spitta working back into it, but massive thumbs up to Scooter and his backline. We really should have won this by 6-7 goals but plenty of upside as we have plenty of improvement left to go. Time for the replay.

I've never seen so much smoke blown up the arse of a team that had beaten up on such mediocre opposition without leaving their home ground.

Dogs aren't a bad side, and they probably will be a great side in the future, but they're going to have to find some (any) talls before they seriously challenge for a top four berth.
