I would still be letting him build on his fitness. He has not footballer a lot so I still think the best impact is likely to be in the second half of the year, but it would be immensely rewarding if he comes along faster. Got to have some hope this year.Get him in! He was the maggies best player by a mile. Did some exciting stuff in the middle.
Also hopeful of Marshall down the trackHe's literally the only player in our reserves who is any chance of coming in and improving us any time soon (Scully I think will be good as well but he's years away).
Nah. Let him build fitness and confidence and then bring him in when he can shine. We aren't in any rush.Get him in! He was the maggies best player by a mile. Did some exciting stuff in the middle.
Yep. Marshall has some tools. Also hopeful of Marshall down the track
Can you play sub and still play in the magpies? He would make a good sub. Versatile, quick, good skills. If not then I agree, needs a few more games to get match hardened to play in the senior side. But he did look to good for the SANFL in the first half.Nah. Let him build fitness and confidence and then bring him in when he can shine. We aren't in any rush.
Having said that Ken will bring him in for the sugar hit of positive media and the ready made youth and fitness excuse.

This.A month in the sanfl, then he needs to play every week in the afl
When he comes in to the AFL side, where is he playing? HBF? Wing? HFF? Or centre?
When he first played he was in a pseudo small forward/HFF, which did not suit him
Farrell certainly hasn’t consolidated his spot in the team.for mine takes Farrells spot with some re jigging, then Rotates Centre and wing.
I think one of three reasons:Felt like his mid minutes were way down compared to last week. Not sure why that was.
Was gonna post the same.Could just be management too. He's barely played any footy since drafted, may have pulled up sore after a full sanfl match. Let him run off half back without the physical attention of the centre square and get footy km's in his legs.
Seems strange then that they started him first game back as a mid, he played a blinder of a first half, then gets sent back to HB without really getting midfield minutes against Glenelg. Was gonna post the same.
Bloke needs continuity, has barely played footy for the last three years, not looking for him to play 1.5 games and missing with an AC joint.
Showed a bit as a Mid, need him hitting 14kms next game, do that from half back. Get 4-6 weeks of footy into his legs.
Doesn't help when we are playing him on the opposition's best small forward.Farrell certainly hasn’t consolidated his spot in the team.
Seems strange they playing Teakle in the Ruckmover Hayes and Visintini… this coaching group of Hinkley, Bassett and Goldsack/Lokan has been strange over the courseSeems strange then that they started him first game back as a mid, he played a blinder of a first half, then gets sent back to HB without really getting midfield minutes against Glenelg.
FWIW, I agree that he should get continuity playing at wing or HB for the next month as that’s where we’ll need him initially at AFL level.
