It was ugly, we are lightyears from our best.... but early season is just about banking the points. We’ll take it.

De Goey to the midfield and Stevo deep forward changed our entire structure for the better. Cox was massive also, he makes our forward line look so dangerous when he is firing.

Good to win despite playing like absolute turd for three quarters. Anyway, on to next week. Doesn't matter how you win sometimes, as long as you win... especially this time of year.

Cox had a good last quarter, got himself to some good spots and we started using him.

JDG excellent in the middle. Looked like we needed a clone of him up forward when he first went there but fortunately for us his absence saw the likes of Thomas and Elliott getting their hands on it.

Cal Brown also had a good last 15 minutes.

Hope Mayne is OK.

Roughead's best game for us by far. Moore solid again. Crisp excellent after last week.

Surprised I've managed to come up with positives after that.

Hit and go in the last quarter and we looked okay. Stepho looked dangerous then, Elliot ditto and Gooey gave some grunt in the guts. Nice to know a bit of a mix up can happen but **** me it was the classic ugly win.

We went within a ****teenth of a flag last year through high speed transition football and change to rubbish football that doesn't suit our players skill sets.
