Four games in. Less injuries. Elliot, Moore back. "Unusual" game plan. Hard to watch. Interesting.

I must be one of the people absolutely delighted with that win. Lost a man very early (bad luck for Mayne), Dogs were massively up for it and some may say the umps were completely against us.

No real passengers.

I'm bloody biased, but can't say I saw anything there.

I don,t know who makes way for him but we need Sier in the guts NOW you only need look at how De Goey went with his extra size,we saw the same from De Goey against the Dees we just need bigger bodies in there.
Sier looked liked he went okay against the Dogs vfl and we desperately need his extra size I am sick of getting out muscled around the ball.

I've been big on JDG as a forward with limited midfield time. CFC2010 I was wrong. Have him move forward after taking the centre clearances.

If there's a positive out of this, aside from the win, it's the ability of the coaching staff to move players around and change the flow of the game.

It looked like Stephenson started at half back, got a bit more of the ball then moved forward in the second half and was effective. JDG was doing his job up forward, just missed a few opportunities he usually would be snagged. But was a real handful in the guts.

Nice to have options.

I would definitely start DeGoey in all the centre clearances he is on the ground (at least while Sier is AWOL) and then shift him forward when the ball is in play.

Treloar and Pendles were weak again tonight around the contest. But the Dogs do have a great midfield. Macrae, Libba, Bont. Hunter and Wallis is pretty close to top 5 in the comp. Especially around contested ball.

Hope Mayne is ok

Looked really sick after the game.

A win is a win and that's about it. Until we learn to kick to guys in black and white it's hard to see us causing serious damage to the top 4.

Having seen JDG have some decent centre time , the thought of him and an in-form Bear through there is drool worthy.

Hopefully the results when we took on the game a bit more late will carry over into next week. It worked against Richmond but this chip/fluff around with the ball game isn't within our skill set on any sort of consistent basis. We need to overwhelm sides with pressure and run over the top of them.

Listen here to whoever at the club picks our team each week...

DO NOT DROP VARCOE

Pressure, skills and his run are needed.

What a response to getting dropped. Varcoe was involved in everything good we created tonight

Got the four point which is the most important stat of the game.
Cannot play like that against brissy or we will get chopped to bites.
Still a huge amount of improvement in this team.

Does nobody see that De Goey has no confidence in his set shots? As long as that is the case, he cannot play a lot at full forward. A pity, because he is great at getting the ball in this position.
The ability to restructure the forward line when required is the greatest strength of this side after Grundy.

I think you’re mistaking nonchalance for lack of confidence. Tonight was certainly “off” in front of the sticks, but usually he is okay.

Travis Cloke used to be the most overrated player at our club.
Now it's Grundy.
58 hit outs. And exactly how did it benefit us?
After being told by so many people last week that my criticism of him was wrong I made a point of observing his game, especially his ruck work closely today. It wasn't special!
Good game, yes, but all this circle jerk work over him is over the top.
I swear people just look at ranking points these days and use that to determine who was best.
Tom Phillips was our second highest ranking player by the way. Go figure.

Good to get the 4 points but that was the performance of a team who will be fighting it out for a spot in the 8. Our season so far is not very promising.
