With such a strong draft hand that seems a good way to go if Armstrong is their highest rated KPF, but with the depth of KPF talent (I don't have much separating JWhitlock, Shanahan and Armstrong for example) you're also not in a position where you absolutely have to reach for a guy in one position if you've got higher rated players on the board.

To be blunt, and I'm not saying anything new here, the Tigers need some good quality youth across the board, so I'd be against getting picky with any top 15 selection just to get a player in a certain position
Makes sence. Apparently we are keen on Jaunty Faull. Thoughts on him?

We probably will pick him, the feel with the fans is he's not a particularly great fit. He seems a bit similar to what we have. Travaglia is the dream to somehow slip through. Really Draper or Jagga seemed perfect fits.
Apparently Ross Lyon is all over travaglia. He fits a need for us so unless someone takes a tall before our picks he will end up at the saints

Not as high on him as others seem to be, I think he's one that, similar to Logan Morris, could be impactful earlier than most other talls but lacks the upside of others because of his athletic limitations. As a late 2nd rounder/ early 3rd round selection I'd say he'd represent pretty good value, but I'd struggle to warrant selecting him earlier than that personally

You’d hope the coach is irrelevant in a draft
Definitely with a specific player.
We need more speed or more mids or something is the sort of input from the coach, like you say the coach should not be saying we want player x

Hey PMBangers love your work as always.

Mackie on the post trade period rundown causally mentioned that the cats would be looking at options to trade back in to the draft this year. Any strong opinions on who we'd be looking at?

I feel like Sims or Stumpf would suit given we now have exactly zero key forwards developing.

Could be anyone! but yes a KPF would make sense

PMBangers I tolerate your mediocrity apposed to our lord and saviour Knightmare but was wondering, how do you think next draft will pan out ?
What do you think about the perceived lack of depth?

Hey Bangers, long time friend, first time fan; where do you reckon Jaxon Artemis ends up going in the draft? You think he'll end up in that 40-60 range or end up as a rookie?
I think he's a rookie draft prospect personally, but a club could also be attracted to his speed at a late ND pick

I don't love what I've seen overall personally, I think thats a big part of so many clubs trading into, or looking to do so, this year. Good year for WA prospects though 12 months out

Surely the Eagles are targeting Bo Allen with pick 12

I don't think the Eagles need Allan as they already have a young big left foot mid. He's be better off elsewhere.
Isn't it interesting that because he's from WA, West Coast will take him, now they might, but five players that could be more in their ballpark, though they could trade into the 2nd round to get them. Wouldn't that cause a stir for eagles fans!
1/ Xavier Lindsay: what a good all round player, one of the best, if not the best kicks in the draft and showed his class at the nationals and more importantly in that final. I could see Xavier in the middle or on a wing where he could be a damaging player with his foot skills.
2/ Noah Mraz: key defender who has been out injured, good player with lots of upside.
3/ Matt Whitlock: key defender, up & down year for Matt but played some good games and showed what he is capable of, versatile and don't recruiters love that.
4/ Tom Gross: Midfielder, like a good midfielder he gets the job done, still lots to learn and improve on, but has the tools.
5/ Luke Urquhart: Yes he's from the West, another midfielder but boy can he play, in the champs he was electric at times before fading out but that could be a fitness thing and while his kicking has been scrutinized, most of the time its not that bad, very underrated footballer this boy.

Yep spot on...so many options for all clubs.

I just don't see that Reuben Ginbey and Bo Allan fit together at West Coast. Don't get me wrong I rate Allan. I think he's a powerhouse and will play senior footy in his first year but where is his best fit?

I love Urquhart.......from not being able to walk for weeks a year or so ago to get where is now is incredible. I would be gutted if he doesn't at least get rookied.

And on to my usual player in focus. Kayle Gerreyn. Isn't getting the media support that he should be and I dare anyone to give me a good reason why.

Sorry man......I really only know WA players.

Lindsay would be a fantastic fit. Mraz probably slides with his foot injury this year and WCE aren’t really in a position to be taking risky picks that high. Gross would definitely be considered at pick 26 if available. Urquhart will be a late selection IMO, had a huge hip operation and as Futbolista said has done extremely well to get his body to the point it’s at now. Great hair.

Ha ha ha, yes indeed, I'm sure the girls won't have any problem picking him out. I love Luke's intensity and reminds me a little bit of George Wardlaw, like all players somethings to work on but I would love him at the Kangaroo's, on a wing I think he would be a very damaging player, offensively and defensively, he makes things happen.

I havent paid any attention to the draft this year. I watched the first half of vic metro v vic country. I thought Tom sims looked really promising as a tall forward/ second ruck. He missed a few shots at goal but his kicking looked fine. He is going to be a big dude.
