had a trip to Hobart a few years back, we stayed in Battery Point, just above Salamanca, that area is amazing for history and quality of bars, food etc... that's the bottom of the pic. Why would you not want to enliven that whole district some more by utilizing that industrialized land just to the north, it would be epic. The museums are close too and the city is just to the left, it's a great p;lace to visit and would definitely drag in a heap of $$ for the locals.

What else do they want to do with that land? A park?

another argument is that hobart is basically cranked out tourist wise already... its at capacity in summer, and in winter during dark mofo. probably scope still for in between that and various events. but its a very small niche city already. needs development tho cos its appealing as ****, and launceston is absolute garbage lol

... The AFL needs to commit to Thursday nights constantly ....
Can't remember which footy show it was but apparently the collective bargaining agreement with the players will allow for an extra 2 Thursday night games next year. It's not the night of the week that's the issue, it's the 5 day break that is now impossible to avoid for at least some teams.

Kind of lame thing to be celebrating when our premiership drought is nearly as long plus our grand final drought is a decade longer plus we've won less premierships and played in less grand finals than they have since we entered the comp.
