I don’t think so.

reverse tonights result and you get GWS 7th on 48, Sydney 8th on 46, Adelaide 9th on 44.
Dogs win would take them to 8th on 48, pushing Syd to 9th and Adelaide to 10th.
Adelaide the best percentage of the lot, so a win against eagles would take them to 48 and 7th.

So 2 of GWS (away to Carl) , Syd (home to Melb) and WB (away to Geel) would have to win to keep Adelaide out.

I think tonights mistake costs Adelaide a finals spot.
Which makes the tears even more delicious😜

Remember that time Josh Jenkins hit the post and they called a goal to win the showdown?

Karma remembers.

Its poetically beautiful that ultimately it was the Crows over the top figjam soccer celebrations that cost them the season.

At no point did the ump look like calling it a goal, he called post immediately and play resumed (rightly or wrongly) if they'd been playing to the whistle rather than fellating themselves with the crowd they probably would've given themselves another chance anyway....

I mean it was a clear goal, everyone in the stadium thought it was a goal apart from the braindead ump. Every club would have been celebrating in that scenario.

The goal umpire had the perfect view and had no hesitation in calling that it hit the post and yet all of these dumbasses think they can tell whether it hit the post from a piece of two dimensional vision filmed from a camera angle that has no way of concluding what did or didn't happen. Amazing stuff.

Lol have you watched the replays yet?

If that happened to port to end our season it would almost be enough for me to give the game away. I feel for them. I would be filthy. But I wonder if they all would go back and review the gulden throw that resulted in a goal? Or is that too early in the game to make a difference to the result? Games aren’t decided by 1 decision in the final minute. Just like we were told with the shuey duck and after the siren goal that should never have been.

Last 17 seconds in front of Sydney's goal - Smith should have been caught HTB and Shoenberg hit someone high. Cry me a river Crows.

Open to interpretation free kicks/non free kicks happen every single week. It's whatever.

A clear goal being called a point despite being wrong, then not reviewed, doesn't happen all that often and is piss funny when it happens to someone else. But is also amateurish incompetence. Any fan base would be foaming at the mouth at it, cause everyone can see how bad it was.

Was certainly a goal, and a bit of a farce that there's nothing that can be done about it.

Torn between loving it because of all the painful obnoxious crows supporters that are all around us, that bob up when Crows are winning and are just general flogs, and feeling sorry for my friends and family who are crows supporters because that was some genuine bullshit.

As for Keays, kicking that would've helped my supercoach for sure, but I'm not that torn on that regard because he gives off flog vibes too. Between the shit stain and this he's certainly becoming memorable.

Really not the same thing. Incorrect field umpiring decisions happen all the time. We can accept a level of mistakes there.

We have a “system” in place so that goal umpiring is as accurate as possible, yet was not used. If the umpire reviewed it, it would have 100% been overturned.

I don’t understand why the arc couldn’t have reviewed it while play had resumed and then called it back.

That wasn't holding the ball. I'd be pissed if that was called. And if the cows got that goal payed it was back in the centre and those plays you pointed out didn't happen. They have every right to cry a river about this, we would.
