Now if only karma could remember Walker.
How about this - Tex goes nuts against the Eagles, kicking 16 goals, thus drawing to within a single major of Curnow for the Coleman Medal. Then with seconds remaining, he takes a mark on an angle, and lines up for his 17th. His shot at goal appears to be all clear, but the goal umpire signals that the ball grazed the post.

Why? It is objectively way funnier that it should have been a goal
That’s what I’ve been texting all morning.

”Ah man, that sucks, that was clearly a goal, you were robbed, I’d be ropable if I were you, corrupt cheating AFL….”

If you want a fire to burn bright, you don’t tell it it’s not a fire. You blow on it, you stoke it, you throw dry kindling on it… then you stand back and enjoy.

So the Crows board have two quality thread titles on the go with 'The Non Goal: F*** the AFL, court injunction?' and 'Forfeit next week'. The first has ten times the replies. Must be something to do with the fact they've had success with court injunctions before.

Gill McLachlan to speak about the issue at 10.30am. But the strong view of the AFL last night was as unfortunate as the situation is, Adelaide has no recourse for the Ben Keays goalline umpire error

Is "brave" included anywhere in the headlines today?
No, but I'm sure the words gallant, heroic, courageous and inspirational would have been.

Not to mention unlucky and robbed 😃

All of SA, every last one of us true Croweaters, is proud of you mighty men. You've taken us on a journey, and filled us with hope. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Adelaide Football Club Inc 💞

🤮

They can't do anything about it. The only result overturned in history, was the Freo game in Tassie, and that was because they were leading at the final siren, but no one heard it and the scoring that happened after that moment was easy to overturn.

In this scenario, if the ball goes back to the middle the Swans might still find a way to goal.

What's more annoying for me, is there are so many pointless reviews from goal umpires who are right there on the spot and should not have to review it, but something like this is going to send a tonne more decisions straight to review.

Remember that time Josh Jenkins hit the post and they called a goal to win the showdown?

Karma remembers.
Josh said he thought it hit the post in the washup too lol

Jokes aside we need a proper VAR. This should’ve been a simple case of the video ref overruling the goal umpire and correcting the mistake. The lame theatre of calling for reviews can get in the bin.

Or how about if the ball goes over the goal line touched or not it's a goal.

Lol have you watched the replays yet?

Yeah, the behind the goals vision shot by the fan makes it look like a goal.

I maintain that the TV footage doesn't give you any view that could tell you what happened.

People are bad at understanding the limitations of TV footage. It's like that Cameron out on the full last week. It might've been out on the full but unless you have an angle directly on the line you will have distorted two dimensional vision that could be playing tricks on you.

As funny as it is, the hitting the post rule is ******* stupid.
If it goes in it goes in, off the post? Sure carry on.
There's a simple fix. If it hits the post and stays in play, it's a point. If it hits the post and goes through the goals or the points, just pay it as the goal or point.

There’s a Crow supporter who lives down the road who dresses head to toe in Crows attire after a win but wears plain clothes after a loss. I might walk up and down his house dressed up as a goal umpire today
