I've seen Hinkley's speech, but would love to see any preamble from 360 posted (pretty please Wookie). Being in Darwin, we dont get a lot - even Footy Classified last night was a very watered down version locally. so will need to see if the version online is better.

What another great story on the club and the direction we are going... Its a shame though, that even though it was on SBS, it won't be talked about (due to it being on SBS). The academy needs national recognition, would be great if Fox Footy could do a half hour program on the academy.

I'd love to see an Australian Story style documentary in a few years on the effect this program has had on a few of these kids. Similar to the one on Chris Yarran, Michael Walters and another lad that aired a few years ago.

AFL 360 had some great footage of the boys in the change rooms, and Sir Ken's speech to the leaders just oozes experience, what's he going to say of GF day now....

Than you for posting that. I wouldn't have seen it otherwise. I think this is going to be a successful program regardless of any AFL players produced and Port Adelaide should be commended.

Kenny's speech just goes to show that you don't have to rant, shout and carry on to get players prepared for a big game. Simple, precise words said in a calm way can have the same effect.

I like the way that someone put Chad's Advertiser poster on his locker.

What a great motivator Kenny is. The players clearly love him and want to play for him, which is something I dont think we have had since early 00's in a coach.

Ken being calm and settled, would have put the players in a better place to be calm and focus, whilst also reminding them of the challenges ahead. Also clever telling him he's helpless, so the players can't believe they can rely on the coach and it's their actions that will tell the story.

Yeh, it is funny, in hindsight you can see that the tension Choco had could have rubbed off on the players in some of those finals debacles we had. Is a fine balance for a coach to get it right.

The other thing is, as with all leaders and successful organisations, the message is re-iterated constantly so it pervades the group. This pre-game message would have been building on the themes delivered during training not only over the last week, but through the summer, last year. They reinforce Ken's expectations of the group and reminds them of their own role in achieving the outcomes they are all striving for. None of that would have necessarily been new.....but that calm and measured delivery, the clarity of the message was superb.

I think we can be happy if he uploads footage for us, but be careful not be too demanding of this as he is doing most of us a favour who don't have the time/foxtel to watch the segments ourselves.
