Billings is the type of player who troubles us. Cheney gets him I guess.
Would have thought Cheney goes to the 1.88m membry, with another defender like Brown picking up billings.

Just watched don't presser from yesterday, is rucci the only one there? He asked about 10 questions in a row.
He butts in. I listen to all the pressers throughout the week and he constantly raises his voice in front of others to get his in first. I don't know why they allow him this freedom, I would call him out and speak over him.
He asks ridiculous questions in line with the non-statistical role statement. Pyke looks at him like the turd he is.
Pyke always answer Rucci questions with I haven't given it a lot thought, Next question, No

hahaha i love Pykey

He was rested, and the player that replaced him is simply playing superior footy.

Lyons deserves a game, the next in line to go IMO for a Crouch will be Douglas the way he's been going.

Both Crouch's, CEY are all worthy of a crack but this is both the perks and the downfall of having a strong list, talented kids don't just get gifted games.
Pretty sure Lyons replaced Brad. Hendo replaced Matt.....well....technically.....

You're here for an argument aren't you? Typically I'd leave it. But M Crouch was not dropped, he was very sore after the week of the Geelong game. Question the selections all you want since that moment but that's how it was. Now STFU about it.

With all due respect.

These are not facts. They are nothing like facts

What is fact is that Matt Crouch was listed as rested when he was first left out of the side. These are not statutory filings.

Since then he has been left out for the next 2 weeks.

Them's the facts and the only facts

That's one explanation

Independent thinkers might choose not to suspend their faculties though when considering the matter :thumbsu:
Now? He's been best 22 for a long, long time now.

One of those moods tonight?

With all due respect, if it was Sloane rested because of soreness, do you think he would be sitting out two extra weeks because his replacement played well? Or even Douglas? Without doubting the 'soreness' thing, at the very least it suggests that Matt is down the pecking order. Personally, I like Jack is Back's theory that the club has settled on a mix that has room for only one pure inside mid, but for the life of me, I can't see why they won't rotate him and Thommo a bit.
No we would not
Horse's for courses why don't you use these examples, what if it McGovern soreness and Menzel came in and played well, Or Lever soreness and Ottens came in and Played well, Or Matt Crouch soreness and Lyon came in and Played well. oops.
The Older Players have earn points the younger player need to earn those points. This has happen since screw studs were made. And will keep on happening.

Exactly - why waste two games on him, knowing he's mediocre and likely to be dropped again?

Why not USE those two games for something of VALUE; like getting a game into Doedee or CEY or Grigg (forgetting injuries; the point stands)?

We've wasted another two games of development - for nothing.

It's infuriating!
The biggest thing for me is that they knew that by playing VB instead of Wigg and then making Wigg the travelling emergency that he was going to go 3-4 weeks without playing ANY competitive football games at all. And all they did was shrugged their shoulders and went "nothing ya can do about the SANFL fixture!" and still picked VB.

Bullshit.
.

The club has not felt the need to bullshit all year why would they do it for this one game.
Importantly why would we assume (therefor making us asses) that the Club would blatantly lie about it.
But the most interesting problem I have with the whole issue.. Is why would some believe the Club would hurt the team by not playing him in the SANFL team against the Bulldogs on May 21st if he was fit.
Do you think in this State that if the Crows said soreness and were lying that the media would not have a field day.

It is easy to say Bullshit, as it is harder to look at all the story first then make a sound judgement, and realise just maybe the club was telling the truth.

Well there this little thing that he did not play in the SANFL, if Dropped he would have played with his Brother, But if the call was injury (general soreness) then no, So I am going for Injury. would that be a fact.

Where is he playing tomorrow?

AFL where he has adverage done 24.4 PPG this season or in the SANFL?

I'll answer for you. SANFL. He was dropped.

He comes straight back into the AFL in favour of Thompson or Douglas. He is out future key midfielder and should be part of out present midfield. Yet, they clearly rate the very under performing Douglas over him.

Now, if Scott Thompson drops out and doesn't play Sunday. Your bullshit question? Right now as they don't need to play those stupid games with selection.

If we need to play those stupid mind games surrounding selection, we are not very good at all.

Pykey is playing mind games with you & the bf board lol. ;)

I don't buy the call that the coaches were giving Vb one last chance to put a line through his name. Blind freddy could tell he was cooked last year, let alone after rnd one and now after another stinker. Grow some pills afc, tell him enough is enough. Treating our matches like a pension is doing nobody any favours. Also, if Nathan you are a clubman and share a team first attitude, please do a cassisi or even a bloody kornes and put you hand up and retire. You stealing games from youngsters sullies your name and puts our growth in reverse. You are past it, accept it and deal with it. Retire with your head held high like you would expect from a former skipper. Disappointing if in 6 weeks you happen to slide into the a's again and then speak again about how you're best 22, you're not and haven't been for 2 years.

This is the reason have won 4 finals in 20 years. :thumbsu:
