That's another horrible assertion to make.

If we need Thompson and Douglas yo beat this young st Kilda side at Adelaide oval, we are miles away from where we want and need to be. This st Kilda side is only going to get better over the next 18 months, where we risk stagnating based on player selection.
We to would have got better in 18mnths, We are heading in the right direction, Like I said if the SANFL lads keep smashing it they will get there chance over Thommo and Dougy.

Also Don't forget the Saints have got a couple of older players running around while the younger brigade get experience.

Laird in, VB out. Makes sense to me. There's a lot of competition for spots that our team could have 6 or more different guys in the team if circumstances had been a little different. Selection has been good all year without much controversy. Any assertions from an outsider that selections should have been different doesn't mean much because the selectors work with a lot more knowledge and information than you do.

Besides that statement, the recruiters were still clearly wrong to draft Doedee over Burton :p. I'll just have to wait for a few years for all of you to jump on board and reluctantly concede that I was right :D:eek::drunk:

I'm not sure why people here don't just believe my predictions. I'm clearly right all the time :straining::straining::huh::huh::huh:;):D:D:eek::eek::eek::oops::oops::oops::oops:

And now for your viewing pleasure. Okay, I'm done, I've got that out of my system.

Let's see how the season pans out.

When does the statue of limitations run out on those picks?
2 years of sanctions, losing Davis, Bock, Gunstan ........oh, i'd say 4 years, depending on the quality of recruiting and development

I'm starting to get the shits big time about the crouch boys not playing.
It's a marathon ....not a sprint

They get picked next week or the week after ......and how your feeling now is quickly forgotten

Not sure if serious

Put it this way, he didn't come in due to an omission. He was brought in to play a similar role of that of an injured player.

He may have been recovering from a preseason injury but it would have been interesting if and when he would have come back if Laird didn't get injured.

With all due respect, some posters on this board would disagree even if the facts were 100% correct.

They find any reason to disagree with the club and what they say.
I like this Stephen Colbert quote about George W Bush

"He believes the same thing Wednesday that he believed on Monday — no matter what happened Tuesday"

Was only ever going to be the one change this week.

Mackay might force out Henderson at some stage.....

Hampton is the guy we need to get right. Is very handy defensively and is quick, skilled and composed. He will start in the backline and end up running through the mids.

I organised the Play the KIDS campaign back in 2012 and at the risk of being conscripted by the Snivelling Sycophants I would like to believe things are different this time.

Firstly, we are developing plenty of sub 50 games players this season.

Secondly,we are not playing a conga line of players over 30 years of age.

vB and Hendo have filled in for Rory because we don't have a heap of fit and firing small/medium sized defenders. Jaensch has retired, Hampton is injured and Doedee isn't quite ready. The long term plan is to play Wigg in the midfield but it will be interesting if he lines up as a small defender against Sturt.

Similar story with outside midfielders, The RAT and The SEED are developing nicely and at this stage Hendo and Bran Nue Mackae are next in line. However the reinforcements are coming with Milera, Charlie, Knight, Menzel and Wigg all possibilities for later this season.

THE DON seems to prefer to make incremental changes as opposed to BigFooty experts who are more than happy to move Milera, Cameron, McLovin, Atkins, Seedsman etc into defence so that we never see vB and Hendo again.

Please be patients folks (Alex. Alex, Sam, Alex....) the revolution has already started.

Don't know how many times over the last couple of years posters have insisted we have to do another 5 year rebuild, as we're going no-where  ......emotive with no base in reality
Where have we been going?

Is this the year?

We only need Laird or Brown to go down and we're either seeing Dmac go back there or VB. Wigg is obviously not part of that equation and Doedee is a couple more good games away.
Would love to see Wigg across half back in the SANFL today. We've got Crouch, Crouch, CEY, Grigg so hopefully the midfield is a full house.

You must have been back in Boston when AFGM morphed into Jack is Back.

Oh, I know who you are but you want to extract the urine out of me, I'm not going to give up.

And don't be a arseh*le and make fun about people with a mental illness. Your hah tag is rude and unacceptable.

Wigg didn't play across half back when Laird was known to be missing for at least 3. Would be very surprised if they wake up now. Although, perhaps they've realised that we can't improve if we have to play VB. It's a bit like Mackay and his inside role that had his fans fapping. Yeh, he was ok, best he's been, but it took 1 week for Rat to show how it might be done and a second week to show how it should be done.

I'll be as sarcastic as I like. The facts maybe a bit out but doesn't change the past that out finals record over the past 16 years sucks.

You can insult me that my facts are wrong but doesn't help increase the odds of winning 2 finals in one year and that's what it will take to make a grand final.
I'm not insulting you.
