Fresh from his starting role as chief ice-boy for Sloane’s big freeze, I can’t wait to see what humiliation ritual we have lined up for Curtin this week. Perhaps he can count the pies on the big screen or maybe guest DJ to roll out Crazy Frog on the off-chance Murph scores one of his 5 goals for the season?

The future’s so bright we’ll need to wear shades.

We have two players playing from our last two drafts, and we're bottom four certainties. What the absolute **** is happening?
We are being run by morons.

It really is that simple!

Berg straight back in?
Absolutely as our forward line structures up much better when he in.

When Thilthorpe is ready, I would then be dropping ROB & let him share the ruck with Berg.

Yes, but this is going beyond being their being stupid and wrecking the future.

They're actually sabotaging the future of our club at this point. Hampering the possibility of any future success. And for what?

To cling to the delusion that they'll be able to build a 'positive narrative' with a few late season wins? To try to con us through the gates again with sugar hits?

They're vandals. We can't just accept this.

Good post.

Accurate post.

What did Murphy actually DO last week to keep his place?

This is Nicks short term thinking! Doubt we'll ever see the medium term or long term.

Hoping we get flogged again, it's the only way to keep the pressure on
We didn't lose last week so the "bad game" counter gets reset to 0.

Absolutely.

How long have I been saying our season is cooked & time to prioritise young talent in preparation for next year.

Not only are have they manage to ruin our season in the 1st month, they are delaying the development of much of our best young talent stuck in the sanfl.

Nix, that is a short-term fail, medium-term fail & long-term fail.

That's correct, he is a complely wasting this year... which is why he should have been sacked over the bye, as he will waste the remainder of the year.

If the AFC leadership had any clue, they would instruct the selectors to prioritise our best young talent.

Unfortunately our club is full of morons!

Why should I bother watching them for the remainder of the year. May as well stay home & enjoy a decent red.

He gives out gold buzzers for talent
Nicks gives out gold tickets for no talent

Make no mistake - the rest of this season is firmly about face saving for the like of Nicks, Kelly, Silvers etc....

Narratives will be carefully crafted interlaced with lots of veiled excuses, caveats and blame shifting.

Even losses will be viewed as 'learnings' and spun to be that we are 'not far away'.

Agreed and it's ****ing pathetic. What a toxic club where the people at the helm have totally bottled it and are putting themselves ahead of any long term success.

Just a disgrace.

100% - Its already happening with this drivel from Olsen/Silvers... Read this again and notice how it exactly proves my point....

"After stripping the men’s playing list right back, we have seen the team improve its ladder position season-on-season over the last three years.

History shows rebuilds never encompass steady and constant progression.

There will be flat spots in the evolution but amidst that it’s been great to see continued and genuine growth from emerging players, such as Jake Soligo, Max Michalanney, Luke Nankervis and Josh Worrell, among others."

Because you don't drop a KPD when the midfield were completely obliterated and allowed easy entries for Sydney.

Accountability for bad defensive performance is only for second gamer high draft picks.

The wildest bit is the 'amongst others'. Like ****ing who? Keep naming.
