A sad thought but could well be accurate

He's obviously still got the skills but his ability to get through a season has to be in doubt

Seeing him swipe at one off the ground on Saturday rather than try to pick it up had me wondering if it's getting too hard for him. I have been backing Tex for one more year but am starting to waver. I like that we haven't caved in and made a decision early.
If only we could have done that with the coach!

Jones is a delist. Time to move on.
He's not a delist.

I still reckon he has the ability to be best 22 for a fair while. All between the ears for him, and also partly we don't seem to know what his best position is.

However I've downgraded my hope for him to be an A grader. Think his ceiling is probably just to be a regular player in the 22. Solid B grader.

Murray got a bath from Cameron last weekend. Ultra athletic talls aren't going to be his go.
More an issue that Murray is underdone coming back from a long-term injury that not being able to play on athletic talls.

We could go:
Murray v Darcy
Keane v Naughton (who is more a leading than body forward)
Worrell v JUH

Will be interesting to see if Thilthorpe v Lobb who is in decent form & has the matching height & athletism... but hopefully TT can get him in the contested.

Jones is the 16-23 player range, solid, foot-soldier type players that you need to win a flag, but also players that are a dime a dozen. There's nothing we can do to change that anymore, just a shame he was taken so early because that ilk of player should be in the pick 40 plus-PSD-RD-MSD range.

Dan Curtin can be spotted in a white guernsey in the clubs Insta reels from this morning... Prepare the melts everyone!!!! 😉
I would probably prefer him to go back the SANFL to play a full game rather than playing as sub again and not coming on until the last 10 minutes. If we are not going to play him for a full game, then let him play a full game in the SANFL

Yeah the BOM never, ever get it wrong...
They're predicting warm weather across the whole of SE Australia, for the next week or so. No reason to think they'll be badly wrong.

Living in Canberra, I find that they're pretty good at predicting the daily maximum temps. However, they are spectacularly awful at predicting the overnight minimums, frequently getting them wrong by 3+ degrees. They consistently underestimate how cold the Canberra mornings will be. Yesterday they predicted this morning would get down to -2, it got down to -4.8, this discrepancy is completely normal for the BOM in winter.

I'll leave it to you to convince the farmer that crops and runs sheep and cattle on the property adjoining my 4 acres....

I don't hold a lot of stock in their long term predictions - though those are usually couched in terms of percentages. This is the type of forecast which upsets the landowners, when they get it wrong.

Their daily forecasts, out to a week ahead, are usually fairly close to the money.

Ok Curtin might be playing going by Nicks presser this morning... Though he did make himself sound stupid when was asked why Curtin is the only player in the top 10 of the 23 draft yet to play a full game... "He's a key defender"... Nvm that fellow talls Caddy/Read/Walters have all played multiple full AFL games for sides higher on the ladder...

Where did you see the presser?

Follow up question, why are we playing a key defender as a sub?

Another lie from Nicks if that's what he said

Given where Nicks himself has played him recently, and where he's played in the SANFL recently, he's not a key defender

Nankervis & Dowling white singlets
Brodie Smith & Ned McHenry blue singlets
Make of that as you will
