Hawks were competitive on the weekend after being thumped in the previous 2 weeks.

They will regain Sicily from suspension and one or both of Breust and Jiath from injury.

The bookies have them into 1.50 now - ie solid favourites.

We definitely need George back!
We won't get another win until the young players are given the keys.

Out: Logue, Simpkin, Lmac, Young
In: Phillips, Wardlaw, Bergman, Dawson

Lmac needs to go. Would rather go in with no captain at this point.

Would like Powell to come in too. Can’t be that hard to find room.

Do the coaches dislike Dawson?
Unfortunately McDonald stays in as captain as the other captain is out this whole idea of co captain is BS 1 captain in 2024 please as for Dawson his done they will pick Bonar over him straight away Powell will come in for Simpkin

They were good v Giants. I expect a 4 or 5 goal loss, seriously. Our out's, their in's.

Might be some baying for players blood Sunday.

In - Wardlaw, Phillips, Goater, Bergman
Out - Logue (inj), Jy (inj), Ziebs (omit), Tucker, LMac (all

Play TT behind the ball.

Defenders - Corr, McKay, Goater, Thomas, Perez, Bergman, Young
Mids - Xerri, Phillips, Wardlaw, Cam Z, LDU, Greenwood, Scott, Ford,
Forwards - CCJ, Larks, Coop, Sheez, P Curtis, Steevo, Lazz

Liked both TT and Cam’s 2nd half, I’d like to see that tried again. Ford comes up to Tucker’s wing, DT just doesn’t get enough of it.

Time to shake the defence up, Goater and Bergs get remaining games together to kick start 2024

In: Phillips, Cunnington, Goater, Ziebell, Dawson, Wardlaw, Bergman
Out: Simpkin, Young, Perez, Logue, Tucker, Mcdonald,

B: Corr Mckay Goater
HB: Ziebell Dawson Sheezel
C: Scott LDU Ford
HF: Curtis CCJ Stephenson
F: Zurhaar Larkey Harvey

FO: Xerri Wardlaw Thomas

INT: Cunnington Greenwood Phillips Bergman

Sub: Lazzaro

Need to get way tougher inside, hence the inclusions of Wardlaw, Cunnington and Phillips.

Cunnington can also play deep forward, allowing Zurhaar to play the role he played yesterday with more freedom.

Perez papers are stamped, same with Young, and Mcdonald genuinely just needs a run in the twos.

Souva to lead the boys and kick a bag of 6 for a 22 point win for the kangas.

With Simpkin out, McGuinness will go to LDU and will be curtains.
All good. LDU will need to get his hands really dirty this week and lead the way for the young guns Wardlaw, Phillips, Sheezel and hopefully Powell

What about if Wardlaw goes to McGuinness!
Then they have a loose player at stoppage that they hit to whilst we have wardlaw on Finn on ldu

LDU is better off creating the loose for us by running with a hawks player and having Finn follow them giving us a free player at stoppage

Then we have wardlaw/Phillips free

We are not winning this. Hawks will be licking their lips at coming against us.

They are decent when they bring the heat which is super easy to do against us. Just bring the pressure for a quarter and we are done. We will not catch up or respond. Just turn to butter and rinse and repeat.

We need some harsh truths or a fire lite under our ass. I cant stand watching us lately and its upsetting to be turning games off so early.

YAWN

First figure is the lead we hit early as we all get sucked into thinking "is it finally clicking"?

Second figure is the blowout margin as Hawks stick it back up us.

Third figure is the final margin as we rally and a couple of blokes fill their boots in the dead rubber zone.

Realistic outs:
Logue, Simpkin, Perez, Ziebell

Realistic ins:
Phillips, Wardlaw, Bergman, Shiels

CCJ stays in for structure and for the fact that he's a more natural forward than Goldy or X, even though he doesn't deserve it. Young stays in to be the third tall and Corr (god help us) takes the second key forward. I hopefully don't waste another afternoon watching a pitiful performance. Simple
Can’t agree with the CCJ call.

Unless you are talking about a building structure because the bloke is literally a plank of wood.

Provides SFA to this team and in fact gives the opposition the advantage of having a defender running off him all the time because he is too shit to take a contested mark.

Sicily and Jiath will have a field day if we play this plonker.

Even if he doesn't..

Never been more sure that we will lose a match in my life. And it’s against Hawthorn who are one place above us. Says a lot about the club atm.

Hmmm, settle Captain Bringdown.

So embarrassing that the 16th placed team’s supporters are confident of smashing a team one place below them. 14 losses in a row will mean that even the most positive north fans are brought down.

Throughout the week maybe. But never underestimate my stupid optimism on the morning of every game day!

I see Liam Shiels is listed as a test for this week. We could certainly use him straight back into the ones.

Need to start playing the forward line we'll be going with next year.

Hansen Larkey Curtis
Sheez CCJ Harvey

Put Zurhaar in the mids and he can rotate with Sheez.

CC can fight it out with CCJ over preseason to decide if we're to 'J' or not.

C’mon, there’s 3 Joe the Gooses going begging that’ll get us over the line….
