No McKay or Logue for North. Logue should get a week suspension.

Need to put North away convincingly for a few reason:
  1. Supporter confidence in Carlton
  2. The teams confidence
  3. Percentage
If we can’t pump them without their two best KPD’s we have a problem. I am pretty confident we beat them by 60+

The LOB sub experiment has to end. If Cuners got through today, I’d think about giving him a crack at that job. Speed and skill might be a difference maker.

Norf got found out today, a day out is in order.

Replacing Owies pressure game is important. Honey?

Neither did themselves any favours in the reserves game. Cunners was very rusty and needs more time and Honey was barely sighted before they pulled him at half time as cover for the league side.

Kemp, Plowman and Cincotta were the only ones who played well enough to earn a call up. Dow, Fog and Carroll only did ok. Unlikely any of them come in to replace Owies at half forward.

Hopefully Kennedy is ready to go and, if he’s ready, maybe even Walsh as the sub perhaps. LOB needs a run in the 2s. Hopefully Acres is ok. I wouldn’t be surprised if Cincotta comes in for Cowan.

Cincotta is a major over reach, doesn’t get a call up on 1 avg match, his disposal in the vfl would have fit in well with the team today

Wut???? They lost to the worst side in the comp today.

They didn’t have their best player, LDU, who one of the form players in the competition, and their captain, Simpkins, who is a very good player.

That said I do agree we should beat them comfortably but whilst this team continues to struggle putting teams away like today there will always be reason for caution.

I’m sorry but what part of LOB’s performance has him moving Hollands from a wing? Can’t see Dow playing ahead of Kennedy. It’s a wonder Newman stays in???

There's 3 people on this board that I've blocked, and 2 of them haven't figured it out yet, 1 of them after I've told them on no less than 3 occassions.

Remarkable

EDIT: holy s**t all of three of them don't realise

Since you’re counting, how many don’t care?

Such a bizarre post, Jim. Keep it to yourself.

I’ll you who WILL miss… our forward line

It will be an interesting Match Committee meeting leading up to this. We have consecutive six day breaks, Norf then the Crows in the highly anticipated “Gather Round”. We owe the Crows from last year, and they won’t be easy. If we underestimate North, it could bite hard.

Owies a definite out, Acres a probable out, Fisher, just going with some better moments late and O’Brien very underwhelming when called upon. Surely ball security needs much greater respect. Other watches for me are the kids
Cowan had some shaky moments and Hollands clearly is hampered by that taped up knee which was mentioned pregame. Then the rucks and Ed Curnow with low time on ground, being a bit managed.

Possible ins: Kennedy if it was just tightness, Walshy is the dream and he will be banging down any doors in the joint, maybe a sub progression on a guaranteed dry deck, Cincotta has been solid in the twos. Kemp very solid in the twos as well, but who would he replace? Honey may get some consideration for Owies as like for like, Martin surely is made to earn it? Too early for Cunners after one run? Plowman will have some fans, but I would prefer to move forward, not back. Carroll has had his role varied, seemingly to have the versatility to integrate to the ones. Dow’s output was down so it is difficult to see him breaking in to the top team. I will include one more flukers chance at a game in Mirkov. It might just be the game to give him a taste if TDK and/or Pitto are feeling the pinch a bit. Keep one fresh for Adelaide and change up the combo for Goldstein and pinch hitters. Binns is a goer and wouldn’t disgrace himself, but probably not the time for multiple rookies (unless Dutchy succumbs)

Know Voss won’t want too much change, but a few blokes are sore and a couple, at least, need a rocket. Eleven weeks until our bye, so not much respite. I would not be against a handful of changes and show some faith in the fringe dwellers.
