Hindsight hero but I thought it was coming at 3QT, felt we were struggling in the middle. Only got on top when Stringer was in there and he can only do bursts.

Felt Scott actually missed a trick there, as soon as they kicked a couple in the last he needed to be straight on it and throw him into the middle to stabilise it. Left it too late.

We made the schoolboy error of veering from the gamestyle that got us in front. If there was no 3qtr time break we would win. It’s not the fitness, it’s the change in mindset during the break that lost us this. We let Collingwood dictate from the first bounce in the last qtr and I don’t think we had than one positive play for the whole term aside from the early miss by Weid which would’ve been an important steadier.

This.

We settled in the 3rd when we went back to excruciatingly subduing the desire to rush the ball.

Got sucked into steering away from that and alas, kept giving it back to them as a result.

first an exciting and inspiring game, then a highly disappointing capitulation. We've got to learn how to defend a team on a roll. We were like rabbit in the headlights once they had the game on their terms
agree - but the capitulation is the result of the mental aspect of the game and experience. Pies so much more developed a system.

Small club mentality right here that last quarter.
The game is ours we just have to do our thing.

No leadership.
No Spirit.
No Fight.
No Guts.

Also consider pies had a lot of players out and we had what 2-3? IMO, this means we're about 5-10 goals off floggingwood.

Nothing like this mob putting us in our place for the 3rd game in a row.

Lost at selection.

Hind out mistake, leaving Menzies in was a mistake and finally bringing in Davey in was a mistake, he was so lost. Kicked a nice goal, but pretty much unseen for most of the game.
Always been Brad Scott's knock, team selection.

Menzie
was impressed with caldwell especially, he worked hard all day. extremely disappointed in davey & menzie's second halves, just ineffective and lazy. compare them both to beau mcreary in the second half who run away from ****ing everyone

Let’s put it in perspective… did anyone predict we’d be 4 wins after 6 games? We had a bad last quarter, but there was a lot to like out of the game. The younger players will get better and will learn from the experience.

Merrett out hurt us today. The rucks hurt us today, I thought we’d have the edge there. A couple of steps backwards, and next week will be tough, but this year was always going to be up and down so I’m not going to lose it when the team has a bad day or a bad quarter here and there.

I see where you're coming from but I think the reason this one stings the most is because we've already seen this movie the last time we met. It's knowing that we let it happen again where the disappointment lies. That's where the "we'll learn from this" feeling doesn't stick as hard as it usually does in these situations. We should have learned from it the last time. Stings.

We had our best player and our best forward out, lost a key backman that wouldnt have been subbed out, playing with the continual handicap of our former captain. Was disappointed the mid field couldn’t stand up
