I strongly disagree with playing Balta down back. He's shown huge promise as a forward/ruck these last two games. I want us to persist. We're not winning the flag this year, so we need to play blokes in the roles we want them in long-term.

Miller and Brown were both excellent today in the VFL, so I'd bring both of those guys in for Young and Gibcus, and immediately start training Kosi as a back + playing him there at VFL level.

We have 2yrs too get Balta learning fwd traits with sexy before he retires.
.miller in for Gibbo.
Hopefully it becomes the making of the 2.

Nope. Balta ain't a forward. It will take a LOT more than one game to convince me otherwise. He is one of the very few defenders who can pick up a Curnow or McKay however - best we've had since Rance.

Only round 1 but finals this year is not happening which is fine. Attack this and next years drafts like crazy and we'll be fine.

Don't listen to the media driblle from Karen Cornes and all the hyperbole bullshit they all go on with. We made out of the last decade like bandits and their arses are still red raw from the hiding we gave the whole competition, and they're still all mad about it. It's flipping delightful

But I wouldn’t play Kosi at all unless he can show in training next week that he’s willing to compete in contests. Yesterday’s VFL efforts by him were laughable, and I don’t see a point in playing him just for the sake of their height.
