Carlton (14th) - win
Saints (5th) - loss
Brisbane away (3rd) - loss
Eagles (18th) - win
Geelong (9th) - draw
I would say slightly better over the last 7 games, not much better. And on recent form, i.e, the round just gone, it's much worse.

I hope I'm wrong but I'm not confident at all.

It's actually frightening, mate, that some people on here can never acknowledge certain players played a shocking game.
And if they do, it's always the 'team role's' fault, never their effort or performance.
Only have to read the Jack Graham thread to realise that.
Spot on. Blind optimism at it's best or worst depending on which way you look at it.

You got first part right but Miller was never double teamed. Andrews played off Miller all night and was all over the Payne Reiwoldt match up.
On the replay I watched Miller was double teamed when he was close to goals. But yes, your right about the way Brisbane play with Payne playing the shutdown role and Andrews playing the intercept defender. The problem is that Jack and Ben as a team where well beaten by the team of Payne and Andrews. Playing so close to each other doesn't help. The point I'm making is that we need to seriously consider the output Jack is producing now and compare that output to the younger options that will be there next year. At the moment Jack isn't producing that much more than Miller. I think that a Miller/Bauer combination should be considered instead of just saying drop Miller and bring in Bauer.

Miller wasn’t smart enough to seperate from Jack. A player like Andrews knows that Miller isn’t an option so he rolls off Miller and goes to the more dangerous forward. No way knowing Andrews does that with Lynch but Lynch is also smart enough to create enough separation for Jack to allow 1 on 1s. The Bauer Miller combination might work because there isn’t an alpha but neither hold a candle to Jack in regards to forward craft

Jack gets double and triple teamed every week.

It’s not anti Miller, I actually like him but Bauer needs to be given an opportunity.

Harris Andrews also had 13 disposals, took 7 marks and had 5 score involvements.

Payne had 4 disposals, 1 mark and 1 score involvement.
Andrews had those score Involvements bc we had lazy small forwards and mids who were beaten when Miller knocked the ball down to ground or bc our guys delivery into our FL WENT 90% to their advantage. As Richo said you wouldn't have wanted to be a RFC kpf tonight.

You are right about Jacks forward craft and I reckon if he gave up his alpha forward status he could still be a dangerous third tall. However that would mean he would have to encourage Miller and Bauer to take up the mantle of alpha and him getting out of the way and creating space. From the little I have seen of Brauer he would play better as an alpha That is another reason I think that a Miiler/Brauer combination might work better Seeing how good those two could be under Jack tuition would be interesting

Hopefully it'll spread to the Sydney players during the first half and they'll fall apart after half time.

I'll take anything at this stage.
