Only reason people want to keep Nank is because he’s been given the captaincy which was a howler of a mistake. They think it would create some curse on us if we traded him even though it would make sense.

Soldo, Ryan and a developing ruck is good.

I like Soldo he may be a better forward than Nank, but he offers a lot less than Toby does around the ground, stoppages etc.
I agree take the captaincy off him but to trade him would be a big call given he is a proven 3x premiership ruck they have 2-year age difference.

I'm not a massive fan of playing two big lumbering rucks, but if they go that way, I think Soldo is more likely to be traded & Ryan is the 2nd man with Nank because he can play more forward. when Lynch comes back into this side, I doubt they can all play though.

Someone would have to be willing to take him on to trade him. Port might bite or Geelong, swans even. Realistically all of them are probably looking at Soldo thinking they could get him cheaper with plenty of first ruck potential.

I hope Hartley isn’t stupid enough to let him go as we probably would be lucky if we get a 3rd rounder.

First thing new coach should do is reset the captains and also hand out some decent numbers , I’m sick to death of seeing senior players in jumpers 40 plus , it’s a vote of no confidence

I was impressed with the Gazelle's game and I have been one of his biggest critics.

Equal team high 6 clearances (along with Nank) and 2nd highest in CP with 14 with DE 70% which isn't bad for an inside mid.
Outside game which is where he falls down was much better. Should get him to train more with Tim Taranto

It's not a great draft though. West Coast need the pics so it's only free that could use him for a flag tilt but don't think they have a good enough hand. It was 2 first for cerra wasn't it? Don't think anyone is offering us anything. It could be this year we hold and just bank on a big preseason for the younger players to build up. 3 draft picks at rd 2, 3 and 4 will slot straight into the VFL team
