On the negatives, I still don't rate Broad and I don't think Castagna brings enough to the side. Yes he tackles, but the ball exits our forward line fairly easily these days, that fwd pressure game is not on anymore. Partly due to the rule changes.

Forget about playing Cotchin in the centre, bring him in on the wing, give the old farts body a break, you can’t exoect him to crash into contests the way he does and stay fit, he needs to change his game style once more.
Cotch on the wing has a nice ring to it.
Bring in baker up forwards.

We didn't Rance and a few others then. This is based on the premise that our full team is up and firing. How good would be...Or they might remember the last time they played us on our home decade and we scored 37 to their 104....

One thing I noticed with Broad is that his decision making seems to take forever especially when he has a kick. Not sure if he is expecting players to be in particular positions but by the time he makes his mind up all our attacking options have well and truly gone.
In 2017 I thought his decision making was pretty good for someone with limited AFL experience but he has gradually got worse. Its like the gameplan has been tweaked and he still doesn't get it.

I think he's always been a poor decision maker. And he has a really bad kicking mechanic, his ball drop is all over the place which means he shanks it.
The thing with Broad is he goes ok if he is the last guy picked in the backline and has a low level of responsibility. But with Rance out and when he's asked to match up on a decent forward it's trouble

Just watching the game again.
15 mins left in the third quarter and Prestia kicks it from the back line low into the corridor which opens up the whole oval for us to run through and get the ball to Stack to Bolton to Dusty to Lynch and a goal.
Prestia is doing those kicks more and more and more often than not they’re paying off. His kicking has improved sooooo much this year.

George can obviously do some good things, but just don't trust him.
I reckon they should bring Higgins back in two weeks as a forward.
Another week wont hurt, bring him back for the MCG run home.

I'm not as pumped up as most about pickett...woffle form can be vfl standard at best, where there is stuff all pressure and the defensive stuff is shaking your opponents hand pre-game and saying i will see you in 2 hours for a beer. blokes like broad and bolton would quinella the sandover.

Still just about the worst shot for goal in the team though. I like it when he handballs.
But he's here now and training with us...fortunately Relton is not playing with us to offer Pickett distractions!

His goal kicking is shocking but then so is Cotch’s and a few others in our side.
His field kicking though really has improved out of site, still not the best field kick in the side but far from the worst.
I too like it when he handballs. Very good with his hands, I think Sheds might be the only one better than him with his hands.
I reckon Cotch is the worst set shot for goal in the team (including Castagna) - on the run though he's fine.
