Agreed. I don't think Teague, Rutten or Meehan are part of our future. I was also expecting Yze to bring his own support team that understands him, and he could work with. So far, he only has Newman whom he has worked with.

I do support the club but im not lying to myself by not calling out both the bad and the good.

We can't move forward without a basis of truth otherwise we don't know what to fix, and how. That's part of the journey of being a supporter and wanting them to grow and improve.

Passively supporting the club and refusing to think or say they do the wrong things when they do is just accepting and supporting poor decisions.

This blind presumption that some seasoned players arent checked out, are not giving 100% at times, are not showing sufficient leadership and/or are going through the motions is as regressive to moving forward as it is incorrect.

So get over it. We are currently terrible and it starts with the seasoned players on the ground who are mostly not being properly accountable.

We don’t have to hire replacements as assistants. We can call them boot studders or just pay the tax. I don’t care how we do it but we need an outside assessment of our list and decide who to put development into.
I can believe Yse when he says the players are putting in the effort but if that is true then why are we getting belted. Is it that most of the senior players are slower than they used to be. Short had 0 tackles Macintosh 2 Prestia 1 and Broad 0. Why? Is it that, in spite of their best efforts, they just can’t keep up with their opponents. Do we keep picking them on effort.
We need a ruthless development coach like Brendan McCartney to come in and prune the dead wood and that may include some of the assistant coaches.

My solution is putting Balta back where he is best suited. Instead of having all 3 of midfield, forward line and defence getting belted every week, perhaps we can limit some of the damage on the scoreboard? We've scored 12 goals in the 2 weeks since Balta has come back so it's not like he will be missed forward. Why would he miss the rest of the year behind the ball? Strange comment.

Ryan and Bauer can at least mark the ball and it will be good development for them.

Also, barely cut it at VFL? Tell me you don't watch the VFL without telling me you don't watch the VFL...

How do you figure that? Bombers are better than both Bulldogs and Lions and we were like a U16’s side in comparison to them. We are gonna get ****ed. Merrett and Durham will get about 50 touches

LeFau's injury came from why you shouldn't play undersized players in roles they've never played before. it happened with Balta 6weeks ago as ruck isn't the go as it puts stresses and strains on the body which they haven't been developed and prepared for. It's bewildering and confusing why we just don't play Ryan as he is being prepared for this as a junior. I know he's a long way off, but at least he can gain experience in the role and if he doesn't make it by 2026 then delist him. With our current situation it's just a no brainer as we get a Ruck in and we can play Balta Back and not risk undersized men like LeFau
