Win today and we go 2 games clear inside the top 3 #shittingbricks
It's exactly why we would've lost in the past. Golden opportunity to setup our entire season, usually we would blow them. Let's see how this group goes.

I still believe Richmond are far better than people give them credit for, the coach leaving momentum will be a factor, and realistically I think we play shit at the MCG. We also got lucky with no forward line last week, but I'd be surprised if that doesn't catch up with us here, especially with such a young group of players playing away.

There's a lot against us IMO. I don't believe we're good enough to surpass it all just yet.

Richmond by 11.

Surely we try to negate Bolten today. He has overtaken Dusty as their biggest threat.
It will be close but Port by 12 points.
Rozee bags 4 goals
JHF BOG 25 sublime disposals
Big Footy = 37 ignorant "Sack Hinkleys"

Yesterday Hawks, GWS and Gold Coast all won in upsets. West Coast are a WAFL standard team this season so they were never going to win. It's unlikely this upsets trend will continue.

Tipping Port to win 1-39 and make it 8 wins on the trot. Richmond has beat Port the last two times they've played, but today will be a different result as Port has a much better team.

Tigers by 35

But if the boys can get the job done, meaning we have beaten Melbourne last week and Richmond at the G this week without Dixon and Marshall, does that mean we are a genuine contender now?

There’s something about this team. I’ve felt it since the St Kilda game.

Is it the team itself, or is it our growing optimism from some exciting, sometimes flukish, wins?

Despite the ladder positions, today is a real "stand up and be counted" sort of game. Other results mean that doing so would really set us up.

Not terminal if we don't get it done but if we're serious we'll keep winning when we're expected to. I think it'll be something of an arm wrestle so all shots on goal matter. If we don't convert I don't think we'll get over the line here. Rioli could be a factor.

Port by not much in a fairly dour low scoring game.

Richmond are pretty rubbish, they'll get a little bounce of energy with the new coach but we're still a much better side then them.

Tigers to lead at quarter time but we'll run over them in the end.

So today we play a team who have been going so poorly their coach just effectively sacked himself, if we win it makes it 8 in a row and puts us two games clear inside the top 3.....

Yeah I've seen this one before, the alarms are already going off.

Is this team different? As big of a litmus test as the Melbourne game for me.

Have said it before but the last three or so years at least the Maggie's game performance and effort has reflected the power game when the game is played beforehand.

So a reasonable start with straight kicking , some things to like, frustration with the umpires , a period in the third where we fall off a late attempt at comeback but falling short .

But happy with the actual effort and wondering what if a couple of those out had been playing.

Saw last week some flickering evidence that we had a plan b that we could use and that Hinkleyball was not the only game style very much hoping that continues.

Loving watching those young midfielders own the game. Wet weather specialist Ollie Lord to have a big game.

Caaaaaarn Ports
