I don't understand these decisions at all, sorry.

Dewar was a must play given the conditions will be slippery at a bare minimum.

Gaff and Sheed in the same side reeks of Simpson not learning his lessons at all about the need for pace and efficient ball movement. It's really disappointing to see them both in the side.

Going in taller with the week we've had.

Let's pray for some late changes.

Watching WAFL highlights, liked the play where he got it and turned and went, hit a kick inside 50.

Need that sort of play.

In all honesty I don't mind, he's replacing Hunt on a wing. He might get 15 touches and everyone will complain but if he looks to go forward and hits his kicks I'll be happy enough.

The wing spot is such a nothing position in this game plan anyway. Like you said, all Gaff really needs to do is position correctly and just hit his kicks. Would rather he be stuck out there instead of Chesser

Half my mind is thinking that they've added these interesting selections so they can make last minutes changes to the side.

No god. God no. Simmo. Why.

What was the point of keeping Trew? Where’s Culley? Is the thinking that it will rain so everyone will be pathetically slow? And then what, Gaff and Sheed’s skills come to the fore?

God no.

I think Simmo still lives in the fantasy land of 2020-2023 of “trust me bro, once we get our senior mids back on the park together we’ll start winning flags, trust me the calvary is coming”

We still a mathematical chance of making the top 2 don't you know????

Flynn should've had at least one more game in the WAFL before he came back. Clearly not learning our lessons of years before of rushing guys straight back in...and why are we going TALLER in a game that's gonna be wet and waterlogged?

Are we tanking this week?

Gaff to his credit is clean. It's just a matter of if he has learnt to take the game on, don't be afraid to make mistakes. If he turns and goes there's a good chance Waterman has a 1v1 ahead.

I don't like the idea of Gaff and Sheed both in the same team and I'd have like to have seen a bit of a quicker side. It does seem like a tall/slow side.

But in isolation I don't mind the Gaff for Hunt change (hopefully only one week until Hunt's fit again) purely as a scientific experiment of sorts.

I am interested to see if he can make more of the position and get 20+ where others have struggled to crack 15 touches, which would give a good indication of what can be extracted from the wing position. However if it's wet I don't expect the wingers to get massive numbers unless it lives on their wing with ball up after ball up.

Rotham out for HEdwards kind of makes us slow, but I like HEdwards and am keen to see him play.

I also would have liked to see Dewar get a full game but can understand them giving him that in the WAFL.

Would have preferred Sheed out for someone else, so only one of Gaff or Sheed was playing.

Agreed though in that I don't know why they kept Trew, he can't do much more than he's doing now. Surely he'd be able to tag (if that's what Sheed is doing), he'd be stoked to just be playing AFL.

He's worked hard and had a decent game last week, he deserves to be rewarded whether it's a sexy selection or not. The message needs to be there that you'll be rewarded for strong WAFL form.

HEdwards I'm a bit miffed about.

Trew and Culley absolutely stiff over Sheed. (Yep, I know what I said)
Hewards had an excellent WAFL outing, and has been solid for a while now.
Was unlucky to go out when he did as well so from a form perspective it's fine.
From a balance point of view it's odd, maybe we want to try and free up Gov or Barrass even more?
