You could argue the delivery wasn't great but weed simply did not play well, against a substandard team. Dont see him turning that around against Carlton, but i hope i am wrong.

I agree. Was not happy with the kick that didn't make the distance, not that it was on line anyway. Seems to be a real confidence player. When he can get a goal or take a strong mark early, it helps set his game up. But I wouldnt drop him and they will want him to do back up ruck once 2MP is back (and Phillips is rightly dropped).

He had a poor game and thats his 3rd one this year, but hes been ok

Give him a rocket, see how he responds and see if we should be playing Weideman or Flip with 2MP post bye

We seem to have had a number of B grade forwards in recent years who have been total confidence players. McKernan and Stewart included.

I have a feeling that if Weid kicked that Q1 goal he probably would have taken 8 marks and kicked 4. He dropped his head against Harris Andrews too. IMO he doesn’t believe he belongs at the level. Turns up and hopes it goes well.

I'd love nothing more than wiping the floor with The Embalum this week. Reckon it'll be hard work though trying to keep both Charlie and Harry down given our issues with genuinely tall forwards this year.

Interesting contrast to Perks. Feels like Perks been on the list a minute and is already at 50 games, wherease Lav feels like he has been on the list forever and is only just playing his 100th.

just a massive game. not just because its carlton but also gives as an opprtunity to cement ourselves in the top 8 before the bye.

This is a must win and we need to come ready to play.

We show up with the same intent as we did against North and we lose, convincingly.

We did kick 6 goals in the 1st yesterday so the intent at the start was fine.

I also think people aren't giving North enough credit, they played their hearts out. Our win yesterday was better than people think IMO.

No. Absolutely not. We play that way against Carlton, and Carlton play the way they did last week we will win by 10 goals.

Some people here seem to be unable to see more than a score line. North played with more effort and intensity than they had for years, and we lifted to match them. There's not a lot of difference in the comp. A bottom team playing with intent will beat a top team in 1st gear every game. There we only two times we didn't play well, the second quarter with going inside 50 and converting, and the first half of the third quarter.

Flies in the face of Scott saying in the presser that there was nothing to the subbing of Shiel other than managing his time on the ground. Scott’s reputation as a straight shooter might be at risk here.
