in: Clarke, Tabener
Out: Hannath, someone else.

We unfortunately need to hold firm on our back 6 So sutty avoids his required wakeup call.

Only one more night game for the rest of the year. Really should only have night games during the first 8 rounds and then afternoon games for the rest of the season- the Perth Winter is perfect for football, especially our new brand that we saw earlier this season

Sutcliffe will not be dropped - Never has been regardless of how he plays. In an interview at the start of the year Lyon included him in a group of players who had become "entrenched" in the team. He is not a terrible player and is still young but clearly has some favour from Lyon not commensurate with his level of performance.

Mzungu has been very good consistent player for us over the last few years. Brownlow votes every year. Gets injured and can't get back into the team. Has one game in attrocious conditions gets heavily involved, puts in "great effort" but it comes with a few mistakes - dumped next game - what a load of bullshit!!

I agree with what you've said. I can't understand how GU can't get games while we have so many duds in the team (though I disagree with your assessment of Sutty's performances this year - yes he's been up and down but that could just be part of the normal development curve for a young player after a break out year - persist with him).

Once you're in Lyon's "inner circle" it's hard to ever leave it, irrespective of your performances. I suppose this is Lyon's biggest weakness: a lack of willingness to develop players on the outside of this list, who are often talented young players. But it also drives loyalty from the team.

Out: Suban, Hannath, De Boer (how these 3 keep getting games is beyond me!)

In: Mzungu, Blakely, Clarke

Gotta laugh at ppl intently saying after a win to put in Weller/Blakely/Grey/Duffy. A 1st gamer isn't what we need right now. They'll get a crack at some point, let's capture some round 1-9 form with our best 22 first.

How do we know one of our young players are not the next Selwood? Experience doesn't always correlate with effectiveness.

Besides, the incumbents have not exactly been setting a high bar to follow these days.

How would D Pearce respond to being dropped for a week or two? Or having 2-3 weeks of hard training. His form has been constantly dropping off.

Out: hannath, suban, D Pearce - 1 week if he responds in WAFL
In: Taberner, Clarke, Weller or Blakely as sub.

Crozier just holds his spot.

Sandilands - Griffin if ready or Clarke
Hannath - Clarke or Taberner
Crozier - Connor
Sutcliffe - Grey
Sheridan - Mzungu

A lot of changes. Good game to do it though.

I like! I won't be putting money on it happening though...

I think it makes sense to spare Sandi the trip to Bris especially as we have plenty of options to replace him. Against Bris a ruck duo of Clarke and Griff should be sufficient.

Seems silly of him to go to Brisbane even if he is playing............... Look where the game is mate. :)

Hannath for Clarke for sure.

Then a few guys would be looking over their shoulder like Croz, Sheridan, Suban, Sutcliffe & even D Pearce but we won't make more than 2-3 changes.

Mzungu, Duff, Blakeley the next ones in.

Perfect time to rest him anyway. Going to Tassie after. Get the colossus ready for that. I also think we should get a game into Griffin as soon as possible given the game Hannath just played (no tall forward did anything much for either team though).

I hope they don't turn into the next selwood. Hate the prick.
One of them might very well come in this week against a lower side and I'd be fine with that, but calling for them all after a decent performance v a top team isn't the answer.

Whoa, we're 11-1 after 12 rounds.
