Last qtr tv side, city end fwd 50 arc ... Suban on the treadmill chasing down a player after coming on as the sub. Out.

It occurred to me watching the lack of flow tonight that we've historically played a lot of our best footy when Duffield is in the team. In.

Not too sure About the Duffield comment? Our defence held up well last night. White, Cloke and Elliot were well held. It was our mids and forwards that were lacking.
I'd say apart from having MJ in, and maybe Dawson, that it is our best defensive set up unless Duffield finds some form

So you name 3 players who could improve our back 6 but think it is our best set up. I think if Silvagni was fit he would be in next week for sure.

No he didn't. He said apart from MJ and Dawson. Meaning they would replace A.Pearce at the minimum.

No, I'm saying if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Reality is, Dawson, MJ and even Silvagni aren't available.
The defence as a whole played well.

As long as player like faye hill, pav and mundy that at least can play forward ,mid and defender i dont see the risk of playing blake and grey or weller. The star player can always fix problem, luke hodge dont just play mid , he go forward or be the loose man at the back. Got to put mundy there just in case.

Why De Boer,he was in our best last night.

De Boer is a great defensive player and hard at it. His ball use is slow and doesn't hit targets and hardly kicks goals. 52.4% DE, 22 disposals 10 contested 12 uncontested, 2 goal assist but no goals.

His job on Pendlebury was excellent but for us to win the flag we need to use the ball better and kick more goals.

In: Clarke, Duffield, Mzungu
Out: Hannath, Sheridan, Suban

Tabs needs a couple weeks

Agree keep deboer, half forward , mid or tagger .so flexible . would love mzungu but look like something to do with pre season injury that Ross overlook him or keep him until final. Left footer crozier, hill ( sometime right foot) , water ( sometime right). Pure left , cannot do right d.peace( Weller replace or crozier) ,suban.
Fyfe, pav , mundy , Barlow ( smart awareness player)
Fast Chasing and close down player - balls, mayne .sucliff ( play their heat out but sometime let down by poor disposal.
Sandiland - good kick but still not confident to kick always handball once ball in his hand.

Player that young and can improve already expose to afll, Neale ,tab , a.peace ,

Player hope to see them expose to afl- grey, Weller ,Blake, langdon,Moaller ( again bottom side).Ballard still rookie so no choice.

I highly doubt he would care. It's not as though Pearce gets tagged and is no way drawing attention away from Hill.

They are left footers. That's about where the similarities end.
I'm sure Buckley spent plenty of time weighing up whether to tag Danyle, Hill or Fyfe. He went to Fyfe but that just let DP free to cut them up like only he can

Won't bother to tag d.peace , just make sure he can't use his left foot, tag hill he will use his right if no choice .Faye the same will use his hand his left foot or whatever he can to get the ball out . smart player always try to find a way, that why on tele Faye talk to d.peace during half time after the holding the ball incident.Buckley said they should not allow s.hill to be the 7 player defend due to miscommunication, nothing on d.peace. if you got record just watch the reply, Buckley post match q and a

Id have Duffield in before Sutcliffe. I'd say that Duffield one of (if not - the) classiest players in the backline (though that kickout a few weeks back was pretty bad). Some of the exits out of defence was pretty bad last night.

D Pearce wont get dropped due to being one of three that have pace in our team.

DeBoer was a monster around the middle. I prefer him to Suban by the length of the straight. He tackles with intent. He finds the ball, what he lacks in kicking prowess he makes up in other areas.

Also he knows how to rack it up.

Suban gets like 12 disposals, with maybe 6 kicks that get us meters gained. He could be a good player, if could actually get the ball more often.

can't stand to see ,Barlow and mundy injured and suspension together and we expose the kids with no choice. Just hate to see vs st kilda kids get slaigther playing with suban and d.peace. like experimental animal.

Duff's kicking pre-axing was shocking, would have been a motivating factor behind him being dropped in the first place. Right now I'd probably prefer giving Mzungu a crack ahead of both.
