One of the more bizarre games in the history of, well, bizarre games.

Against my better judgement I read the Game Day thread, and now I'd like to complain about it.

Sure, I could ignore it, but where else can I find such delightfully vile and hate-filled posts about my team, written by fans of my team? Its to be treasured for the abomination that it is.

And its not a competition between those who thought we'd win comfortably and those who warned it was a 'danger game'. There's no moral victory to be had. We all carry mountains of Collingwood baggage - we just find different ways to deal with it in our pre-game anxiety.

Reigning premiers versus bottom of the ladder - so what? Let's just rejoice in this amazing team and club, and the fight we have in us.
Don't even bother stepping foot in the joint anymore.

I understand alot of us are passionate and get a bit hot headed when a player makes a mistake but some of the stuff spewed in there makes it hard to ever read.

Half time moves of Frampton, Howe, McInnes and Moore worked well. N Daicos forward during the third helped break the tag and I wonder if it played a part in nm subbing Phillips who scragged Daicos well in the first half, but didn’t go with him forward.

Yup.

I always knew Pies would come back.

My rule.. if Pies are down by 3 goals against a good team... Pies have 67% chance of coming back and win.

Now against a bad team?
Pies could be down 10 goals mid way 3rd quarter and I would have an inkling they will comeback and steal it.

Bobby....what a star. Two hangers and five goals!!!!
Great leadership and effort from Sidey in the last quarter.
Every one of our boys lifted their work rate, effort and determination when it counted.
Good tactical moves by the coaches.
Simply extraordinary!!! Simply unbelievable!!!!!
Some leaders missing but the others stood up.
Depth of on field leadership was critical.

I think the structure looked much better after half time with Frampton going back and Howe going forward.I don’t know why Fly persists with playing Frampton as a forward. It never works. And all it does is expose Darcy Moore, who let’s face it is not a good one on one player, and is having a pretty poor season.I thought he was especially bad today and nearly cost us the game.
I think he is generally a better defender than Moore and Dean, so would be working defensively around him as the starting defensive KPP, rather than the current set-up.

North fans whinging about the umpiring but forgot about the free to xerri amongst other decisions to them in the first half
Almost feel sorry for North then I remembered that free to Xeating Xerri. 110kg ruck nudged in back by 50kg first-gamer, runs towards fence, flops over fence. Should be cited for horrendous simulation.

Sidebottom was stupendous. He kept ripping the pill out of those centre bounce clearances and pumping us forward in a way I haven't seen from him before. His strength in applying and standing up in tackles is incredible for a bloke his size. Nick Daicos never stopped believing. Every time he kicked a goal, he pumped his fists and turned to the crowd as if to say "Keep believing!!"

Dean was excellent even when we were being overwhelmed and used the pill well under extreme pressure. Crisp was sensational-he never stopped running and driving us forward and I thought little Sullivan was fantastic in the second half and an important cog in our comeback.

Howe showed he can be a dangerous forward -that's one move to keep in mind on a day when a spark is required. His kicking was a joy to watch.

Schultz and Bobby were a dynamic pair though I confess I wanted to strangle Lachie when he missed that set shot and destroyed our momentum. I thought that was the game when they banged on the next three. Hill's mark will become a legendary moment within a legendary victory.

Lipinski and WHE were both calm and collected in the fray and made great decisions under intense heat.

What a win.

Apologies to the many I missed in my little commentary.
Will the Schultz critics now stop.
That’s the question.

I thought Charlie Dean was stiff to be penalised too.

LDU is a star. We should be doing everything we can to get him.

Could I slip in a sneaky play and go for Wardlaw?

Don't get me wrong I wouldn't say no LDU (although he will cost a mint to get across and I'm not sure if we have what it would take), but I reckon if I'd blinked hard enough when looking at Wardlaw to make the blue verticals look black then I reckon that would have given me a bit of warm fuzzy feeling inside, the kid is just so hard at it and was impressive this afternoon.

Haha, no problems Cuz.
Just when I saw it during the game I thought I might screenshot this one.
Many people have a shot at the game thread, but I love it.
So much better to get those feelings out immediately instead of kicking the cat/dog/girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband/TV.
The thread is great for our mental health.

Oh I’ll openly admit that my wife both loves and hates going to the football with me

You all think I’m bad here?

Nothing compared to me at the games and I go to all of them in Melbourne. Even going to the Gold Coast game in 2 weeks lol

if Shoota had kicked that goal in the 3rd, I reckon we would have run over them earlier than we did.

Yeah posted about it at the time

Such a massive miss given all the momentum was with us

Makes the comeback even more staggering
